I've searched but because of the looseness of the term, I'm not having much luck getting to an answer... Over the holidays, I am going to revamp a display case that is built into a cabinet already in the wall. Part of my plan is to replace the wooden shelves for glass and wire it up with LED strip lights (top of the case pointing down and middle shelf (of three shelves) on the underside of said shelf). The display case has glass doors. My question is has anyone had an issues with vinyl, a closed space and the heat from LED lights? I know halogen lights can fade items but LED strips don't suffer from this; however, as I am not well versed in how vinyl ages, specifically when in an enclosed space with a mild source of heat, I wanted to ask the question. I'm quite possibly worry about something that isn't an issue but rather than not ask and go to pick up a piece in a few years time, only to find that it either breaks into pieces or has turned into a damp gummy bear, I felt it was worth sticking my novice head above the parapet to find out.
