of course most browsers let you right-click "view image" and it is savable from there. for flickr you just view all sizes page and then right-click. nothing is really blockable there. screencap works too.
It actually is blockable. That's what Rhino is doing. I'd love that pocket smogun, but it's the minis I'm really after. Never seen the silver one around...
yeah, but that only blocks the flickr image when viewing it in the normal flickr ways. the method i described circumvents their "copyright protection" option. so watermarks are still the main deterrent if you don't want people using them. i guess its gotta be annoying if you own a store/webstore and people use your pics as their own to sell similar items. if used in collage for a different intent, i support fair use of your easily acquirable image. hell, shepherd fairey won that lawsuit versus the AP photographer even after he flubbed his testimony. the far end of the spectrum on fair use would claim that any printed or graphic representation posted or paid for by you and made available to the public at one point is fair game for ANY use. which is why big corporations love Trademark laws, where they have gained some precedent in forcing other companies to ditch logos with similarities to their "brand identity".
really? could direct post one of my photos (preferably the last photo I posted) using your method. I don't believe you can (and if so, I want to see if I can fix my settings). http://www.flickr.com/rhinomilk there's also some sort of blogging block setting in can adjust.. not sure what that does. maybe i need to turn it on
though i didn't do that method i mentioned, i did something quite similar without saving your photo. they may have closed the "view image" loophole to saving photos. this was acquired by viewing page source and copying location code out of the html
Total redemption for Tomopop and the way they handled the Ilanena 10th anniversary show. Hat's off: http://tomopop.com/post.phtml?pk=17504 BTW, here's my original report from that show (just updated a few hours ago): http://kaijukorner.blogspot.com/2011/02 ... kaiju.html
