I need a run-through partner for this on PS3 - going solo w/Sheva's AI truly sucks. What was beating you down on MvC3 so bad? Ranked matches, or the new characters?
Nothing in particular with mvc. Just on a streak of suckiness trying to find a final team. If I can find a cheap re5 gold for ps3 I'll be down for co-op. I love that game.
how is crysis 2? i've been playing the multiplayer demo a bit. it's pretty fun so far, but after seeing the trailer, i think i'm more interested in the campaign.
if anyone is playing Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram off of the XBox 360 arcade, I'll be trying my hand at some quick matches and stuff soon. currently anyone remotely experienced could probably school me, but I'm going to practice like crazy. if you run into GumdropKing, that's me on my brother's Live account I LOVED both this game on the dreamcast and the older VO for the sega saturn but our dreamcast is long-gone and the saturn in storage some place. I'm not sure that the 360 version still has split-screen versus, I read somewhere that it didn't, but I didn't spend much time tinkering with it when I bought it this morning. I hope it can still be done so I can easily play against my brother like old times, but if not it's still worth it. totally awesome game
Yeah, the local arcade (which I'm guilty of hitting regularly) still has the classic Virtual On side-by-side machine - I always wanna give it a whirl but friends always decline. Did you used to have the VO stick for DC?
back when I was younger and playing it on the Dreamcast, I never even knew about those sticks; but looking into it recently, I'd love to try playing it like that if I can find an arcade around here with a VO machine I'll be in heaven...shit, I haven't been to a good arcade in a LONG time. I think a game like Virtual On would have me visiting constantly
Lately, I've gotten really into Killing Floor on Steam. I used to love Left 4 Dead, but Killing Floor does that basic formula way better. Anyone else play Killing Floor on here?
I have it but really didn't get into much just due to my wife hogging the computer when I wanted to play. I gotta get on and try it more. I couldn't get a hang of jumping into a game/lobby. Some how I kept getting into games as a spectator only, so I was only able to actually play a few times. What's your STEAM name? I recently did some upgrading on my machine so I'm itchy to test some games out anyway.
Got a 3DS last weekend and I'm playing Street Fighter and Ridge Racer. I can't wait for the new Zelda and Metal Gear. The 3D really works well but your eyes have to get adjusted to it. It uses binocular parallax to produce the 3D image. Using the depth slider, it pulls the images apart. Your left eye will see the image only the left eye can see and the right eye will do the same. What's really cool is the AR card. I hope they produce more games with these cards.
It takes a little while to get used to, for sure, but you've gotta play with friends. It rules when you know the people you're with. I believe my Steam name is 'Groo'. Hit me up!
Absolutely - its so awesome. I just really was hoping to use the character cards for little minigames or something, but they're useless out of the box / with the current update, right? I don't have any 3DS games yet, so I just show it off to friends using the AR card & spend all my countless hours jamming Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. I am looking forward to a few friends (and 'brainers) picking these up and getting back into portable gaming. I can't wait to get back to wifi Mario Kart DS. Speaking of, have you done any online SSF4 matches yet? I've heard Pilotwings Resort is the best use of the 3DS abilities of all the launch titles. I'd like to pick it up eventually, but I had such a love/hate relationship (much frustration) with Pilotwings 64 as a kid that I've yet to splurge & buy it yet.
Yeah, I saw that on Capcom Europe's blog, but I still can't get psyched for it. I just don't see SF & Tekken fighting styles truly mixing together in a way that will please both audiences. And while I'm not a SF4 player, the new Evil Ryu vs Oni video that came out over the past few days is pretty nice
i love both SF and tekken so itll be interesting playing SFxT. i dont think i'll be able to get into it that much, but it will be fun to play. SSF4 AE comes out in june right?
looks like the DLC comes out on june 7th and the retail disc will be released on june 24th. http://iplaywinner.com/news/2011/4/12/ssf4-ae-hits-consoles-as-dlc-on-june-7-pc-version-coming.html
I've only been cycling through COD:BO only because I haven't had the attention to play games with stories that might interest me. Just lots of killing. New DLC soon for that too. I want to get Force Unleashed II, not that I thought 1 was AMAZING but I liked it enough. I'm just too cheap to pay full price. Honestly I don't think anything will really get me going until that new Batman hits. Guess that's a good thing considering I have to get through some tough classes and the summer's coming.
i have essentially just gotten over mvc3 and gotten back onto ssf4. maybe i like sf better cause i can win more, but ive never been able to use the assists well at all. sf vs tekken seems interesting. i did really enjoy tekken tag back in the day. i feel SFvT will be more fun than TvsSF...but thats just my opinion
