Game Stop by my apartment was a mad house...and it smelled like dirty balls and Chee-tos. On Xbox, is it possible to play survival mode split screen online?
Just picked up Uncharted 3 and MW3... but I won't be playing them soon considering I'm probably half way down Dark Souls and Skyrim is out on Fri!!
I've never played Call of Duty. I play Red Dead Redemption. So is the multiplayer free roam pretty much the same concept except you have modern weapons? Are there team matches? Or is all solo style?
I'm not sure I would say free roam, more 'arena' (at least in the previous versions, not sure about this one as I've only played the first single mission... great btw) or limited to certain areas. Various modes, team matches, death matches et cetera.
Still in the middle of Dark Souls... Marketing aside this must be one of the toughest games I have ever played. The sense of desolation and hopeless progress is second to none.
Picked up MW3 yesterday, and played the MP for several hours. Gotta say, I haven't experienced any problems, but there are a few things that are annoying. Spawning is pretty terrible. Many times I get spawned literally right in front of the enemy, WTF?! Also with bad P2P connection, the bullets just don't register as hits, even when on my screen I get the "X" hit marker. Guess I was spoiled with the dedi servers on Gears 3, that I only realized now with MW3 how beneficial they are for any MP gameplay. Still a lot of fun though. Just hope there wont be any glitches that will be exploited in the next few weeks, else it'll be MW2 all over again.
And again... The reason I play MW1 MP. With dedicated servers come admins to boot/ban any cheaters and hackers. MW is what is called a sandbox. You are free to run around, but only within a certain area...hence the term sandbox. If you think about it, RDR is also a sandbox. It' just a much bigger box, and that's what gives you this feeling of free roam.
Well, tbh i wouldn't define any MW 'sandbox': there's no real free roaming, as you say the arenas are limited compared to RDR; and the game mechanics of MW don't exactly allow any creative play. Rockstar games (not only RDR) as an example are what you would define sandbox, given the free roaming nature and the possibility of non linear play, regardless of the quests or the main storyline.
