I'm Jason. I used to collect Western designer vinyl toys. I had a lot (still do, sitting in a box in the garage, waiting to be sold). Then I got very bored with them very quickly. Neo-kaiju stuff has always intrigued me but I was shy towards it due to the perceived over-abundance and difficult learning curve. I'm glad I "made the switch" and haven't looked back since. I think everyone here is pretty rad. I have talked to a lot of people via PM who are very cool and I have made some great deals with some great people. I would have to say that Skull Toys are my favorites. Then next is BLObPUS and more particularly, their Kaijin series. Then comes Exohead's Galtans. I have a thing for larger articulated toys like the 12" Skull Toys, DxSxHx Stag Beetles, SB suits, and Eagle Man suits. I don't know what it is, but I just think they're extra-badass. I also love Stomps, Smoguns, Gargadeaths, Obake Dogs, GID toys, clear toys with innards, and most recently Skullbrains, Damaged Brains and Pumpkin Brains. I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting. I guess I should've / could've posted this in that one thread when I started posting here. Oh well. I love my girlfriend, pug, toys, and graphic design. In that order.
i am a chad. (member # 88 ) i trolled/lurked this website since dec of 2005 when the original pus handpaints and flocked skullwings came out i like devilmens and heads of pus there was a 'list' for everything and i could have been flippin rich now toys not dead.
Hi, I'm Anthony. I'm new here, but not to collecting. I used to have a lot of Bullmark vinyls that I bought here in Hawaii as a kid in the mid-70's. Recently I started collecting CCP and now some Gargamel and some others.
That's what my sister thinks of me as well...but I just laugh at her cause I think she's funny. I'm surprised she hasn't said anything about my shoe buying...
I'm Jeremy. I'm a total Fresh Meat to the board. I like toys a shit-ton. I like toys glitter and guts. Must apologize if I butted into any discussions, I was drunk. Every time.
i'm jake. i was here before everybody but subterranean and ramos i also still don't know what the hell i'm doing.
I'm Jason, and I have been a lurker here, non member since late 2006, and everyone thinks I'm a douche b/c I cash blasted an old GID Mutant Head listed on YJA, onto my toyshelf.... Luckily for me a few very cool board members organized an intervention, and now, with more sense (and perscription medication...) I have chilled the fuck out.
I am Hiro, aka:LiLJAPAN I am a short dude and loves to draw. I collect anything that is cool to me. My toys are the only friend I have to talk to when I am drunk.(Well, my lady talks to me also to mess with my head) I've been workin at S7 for almost 2 years. Love the work and listening to all the collectors out there. Trying to get my art out at the moment.Trained as a chef in Japan for 4 years. Had a frying pan thrown at me for daydreaming during work. Maybe thats why I don't talk much. Damn boss....... But I still daydream. Brian will probably throw a godzilla at me for that.....
Damn dude...if I would have known that, we would have taken you out for beers when we were in SF last weekend! Oh, and thanks for the okonomiyaki suggestion!
Oh shit. I didn't know that was you. Was that place ok???? Sorry I didn't say much. I'm shy when I meet new people.......

I'm Len. I'm 38 and I'm a Bay Area native. I live in San Francisco and I work in Oakland. I've collected many things in my lifetime and still have most of those things even though I no longer actively collect them. What can I say? I find it difficult to let go. I suppose I've collected toys since 1978 when I got my first Star Wars action figures. I think of that as collecting because even though I was only 9, I did not play with them, but simply displayed them and kept them in their storage cases with all the accessories. I still have every one of them in like new condition, not a one of them missing a gun, cape, light saber, etc. As far as toys go, the past decade + was ruled by action figures of one type or another and LEGO. I got into vinyl a few years ago. Designer Western, mostly, and now the Japanese stuff. I'm really into classic style kaiju as it's the aesthetic that appeals most to me. I'd collect vintage if I could afford it, but... In addtion to vinyl toys, my interests include roller hockey, collecting art, drawing/painting and travel. I'm sure most here are familiar with Giant Robot (or, Giant Robo if you prefer) of Jonny Sokko and his Giant Robot fame. I'm the captain of my roller hockey team and I named it Giant Robot. You can't see the logo in the pic of me, but the second pic is a pretty good view of it.
No sweat, man...we'll catch you next time we're in town. Yeah, the okonomiyaki place was great (their croquettes were really good, too)!
