http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7377002.stm yeah I'm throwing mine in tub filled with battery acid tomorrow (and I clean on the regular- but obviously not enough)
And girls are dirtier than boys! Ha! They keep using that comparison to office toilet seats. I would imagine office toilets are cleaned fairly often- daily in our case- so I'm not surprised that the average desk has more bacteria than the toilet seat. When was the last time you sterilized your desk?
I can't wait for some exposé news show to illuminate the world as to how disgusting the inside of their computers are. Soap and water do a mobo good. I hope one day we can eventually get all people to live inside of a bubble.
I agree. I think the "idea" of a public toilet sounds disgusting but things like toilets are cleaned probably regularly whereas phones, keyboards etc are hardly ever cleaned.
Ahhh...it builds up your immunity. That's what I tell myself. However, this thread does remind me it's time for the yearly scrub down of my workstation. I'm interested, does anyone do a regular cleansing of their equipment?
So yesterday I got some tools (you know Mac keyboards have to have that odd tiny star screwdriver size that's annoying) and spent 3 hours cleaning my keyboard! I'd post pics but I don't want to gross anyone out. Now I regularly clean my keyboard but if you actually open it you will be grossed out what accumulates in there. So foul..... I popped each individual letter key etc and washed them by hand and used about 60 q-tips to wipe around the pots. It's like a new keyboard and alleviates my worries of contracting some kind of horrid disease! C.
Is it the clear older one with white keys, or the current flat one? I feel the new one is much easier to keep clean... and the keys don't stick after a few months of use.
It's the older clear one. Yeah I don't know how it happened, because I don't eat by my keyboard at all but the oddest debri and crumbs were in there. The only thing I may eat by my computer is the occasional bowl of cereal when I'm reading something (and even then it's away from the board). My keys have never stuck but now they move like butter. I can't stand using laptop keyboards (hence I kept my board from my older iMac). C.
