I remember this omake, but I can't remember how the main figure looked.
Toygraph had a damsel in distress too.

Did anyone tried to get the Fancy Toy Ark ?

As it is possibly a lottery, please do not disclose this kind of information before it ends. Thanks.

Do you mean the open pre-order? The one that is detailed on Joe and Jeff's Kaiju Chronicle? If that is it, please, do not be so draconian. We are here to share information on toys, not horde them. Of course, if you see a Maza that is lottery, then there is no need to mention that.

If you read carefully the order page, it can be a lottery depending on the orders received.

Do you mean there are important lotteries and other not ???

Rules are rules, if you can post lotteries info, fine by me, but I don't understand why there should be exceptions.

^ Well said. To add my 2 cents I think Kaiju Chronicle should wait till after the fact to post info like they have in the past when it comes to lottery releases.

    Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/18/11

If the information is out there and easier for newbs to find who are not dedicated to the toy line like most of you are, why should it not be posted here? I think our forum is more limited to skullbrain members than just someone who might see it on a toy blog.

I agree that we should not post active links to lotteries, but not to talk about a lottery or mention that one exists, or one in this case which very well may not be a lottery, is information censorship. This type of censorship on skullbrain limits access to the toys by members who may collect them but who have a real life and cannot be glued to each site all day long. Where is the rule that skullbrainers cannot talk about a lottery, or event mention that there is a sales thread elsewhere, without the actual posting of the link or address information?

Makes me think I should just stick to KC for my information, and not even look at the skullbrain threads anymore. And, YOU may want KC to censor itself too, but luckily that does not appear to be their way and I would rather miss a toy because others win instead of me that miss it because I did not know it existed. It is truly an issue of information censorship rather than information sharing. Which side are you on?

    Damn this is silly.

Just so you know, my mention of an exception for Maza lotteries was a joke, thus the

It's a fine line. There are ALWAYS exceptions.
Let's just say Elegab vs Nags. Or even all the Ollie & BC releases.

Yea. I "normally" do. But really depends on the release also.
    See above for example.
And since the Demeking "may" be a lottery depending.

And DYBBUKIM's response is too long to quote so I'll just chime in on my thoughts.
I don't see it as "censorship" versus getting information served to you on a silver platter.
KC does withhold certain releases until after the fact because there are some stuff I want myself.
More people that enter a lottery = less chance I have on releases.
But if the information is already readily posted out there, can't do anything about it.

Let's just say the Demeking info was posted because Medicom asked me to.
They offered KC a Be@rbrick in exchange for advertising. NOT!

is it just me or does this seem like a never-ending debate?

there are those who are more than grateful for the heads up, then there are those who complain and wish that they could tip the scales in their favor and prevent others from accessing the info?

not sure how i feel here. i for one, am totally stoked when i get the info in time and get a chance at a cool toy, even better if i actually get it. if not, then that's the nature of a lottery?

Right...KC is only re-hashing info that is already out there. It's not like they're releasing info on exclusives that are only for people on mailing lists.
If you really want to complain about people posting info on lotteries, why don't you complain to the company that is holding the lottery since they give out the info way in advance.

Yes, it is beating the old horse time again, but each time it comes up (and I have the energy), I will chime in because it is important.

Censorship is when your job is to get info to the public and for either personal gain or because you are afraid you will offend someone, you hold that information back. Once someone dons the hat of a journalist, even a blog one, they must adhere to higher calling.

Censorship is also when you want to share information with others, and someone tells you not to. SB has swung widely over the years, but usually people will talk about new releases which will tip the wary off to check a site on their own. My quibble was that the whole mention of this toy release was taken down because one guy objected to it because it could "possibly" be a lottery.
That's censorship, and a line should be drawn because it affects the freedom of each member of this board. I agree not to post active lottery links, but otherwise, I see no problem.

Toy hording = OK. Censorship of toy info = not ok.

I mean shoot. I didn't post up the current Nag lottery.
    I don't hear anyone complaining.
And don't PM me to ask about the info.

    Re: Zollmen Database- updated 5/18/11

I guess I shouldn't have added my 2 cents then we would not have had this derail.
I don't think things are so black and white, In my case I think taking 5-10 minutes of your day to check the relevant websites of your favourite toy producers should be reasonably easy for people who are serious about having a chance at scoring new releases. I am all for people accessing info but i guess my thoughts are that the people putting in the work to dig the info out would in most cases actually be interested in the toys, opposed to people looking to flip or looking to score some heavy tradebait.

This is really what it comes down to.

If anyone wants to re-voice their opinion or send me a pm go ahead but i don't see any point beating a dead horse.

Best to get the thread back on track.
