A few semi-recent shots of my small yet very satisfying Anraku Ansaku collection : ) My Flickr friends have probably seen these already, but I thought I would share some with the board. Not being on the infamous list, as well as not being able to spend crazy amounts has made it a long and patient journey so far. Went for a year or so admiring from the sidelines, but I've recently had some luck and acquired some rather choice pieces. I absolutely love the Guerilla Punch sculpt, its perfect IMO .. I hope to add a Goga and/or some other AA sculpts in the future! Feel free to add your own AA pics as well.
Beautiful toys and great photography - I've been admiring the first shot on flickr again and again...
rhino definitely had me cracking up with his reply (I think that may be the case for a lot of us here on SB) Clipper I've been admiring your shots on flickr, love your close ups, angles and settings (outdoors is always nice) for AA....
that is a great shot. not likey I'll ever pursue ownership of any AA, but if I did it'd have to be a dako. great toy, so surreal.
Small collection? I'd love to have just 1. Great friggin colors in those pics. The backgrounds accentuate the figures well.
It is my dream to have an Anraku in my collection one day. Even a mini would suffice (for now .) My desire for one of these figures has nothing to do with avalibility/price, and everything to do with the sheer beauty of the toy. I am inspired by those of you that have worked patiently over long periods of time to acquire a toy of your dreams. Thanks for sharing your photos/collection.
I have to agree with you wholeheartedly. I was actually nervous saying anything about it in my Wanted thread because I'm new and all that...but really I'm barely even capable of expressing how beautiful these toys look! It would be like a dream come true to get my hands on a Guerilla Punch...getting a full-sized Guerilla would probably kill me. It's just incredible stuff.
thanks guys! i love taking pics and these toys are meant to be photographed, sooooooo much character the dako shot is my favorite as well.. crazy big-headed raising-the-roof mutant octopus monster, pretty bad ass imo @ gareth - the gid guerilla was a dream of mine as well since i first saw a pic of it. thought i had no chance, then i actually scored one a couple years later.. it can happen!
The color of that figure never comes out pics right. It always looks peachy-flesh, it's a much brighter orange for those who don't know. One of my favorite vinyl colors. You guys all take better pics than me.
you have a dako..your collection is complete in my eyes hehe nice pictures and great toys! i love that pink spray on the guerilla..i don't have that guy but he's fantastic!
haha, thanks ed! you know an anraku collection can never be complete, they're too addictive! so when are we going to see pics of your herd? would love to see the madness
I agree, there is no collection, just an addiction. Not mine, from a blog, but damn if it aint heaven! I'd kill for that white Goga on the left, what I wouldn't give!
For me it's all about the Guerillas, big and small. But that is probably the best Goga I've seen, too.
1 gorilla and 1 cambodia and I would never need another anraku ansaku piece, I wish I could justify spending the amount it would cost for them but I just can't do it
