I like Ian's idea, using small pics against white is great. Well I could try in my spare time, but the catch would be I'd need a small pic of every figure listed. I'm thinking just a straight on pose against a white background to make it uniform? Then send me the flickr or photobucket link and I'll add it. I'm sure between everyone here we could cover a majority of the figures listed. What say the rest of SB?

LOL, you guys want some list! Ultimately it would be great for someone to compile everything to an online site or put into a book-every company we discuss here with a visual reference/release date/every color variation/ hell even headers for good measure. As Daniel said though it's really hard. I mean sometimes you just can get all the exact info on these toys. I guess that's part of the appeal. I mean if I knew the first thing about building a website or if I had enough friends that would take uniform pics of every toy in this kaiju universe to put in a book (if I had the loot to do that)- I wouldn't even think twice about it!

Let's just try an get a complete Butanohana list first...

Might I suggest, that if you could obtain Chris's permission, he has a LOT of the Buta figures photographed on a white background. I found them in the "Sold Out" Gallery:

Also, if you check the toy descriptions in the Sold Out Gallery for Buta, you can see when the toy first appeared for sale--I've been using that as my toy release date reference.

Lixx, there were also the limited additions of the GT Exclusive Green Corythosaurus and Gigantosaurus. Chris said there were only 20 pcs. of the greenies made for each species. There is also the GT Exclusive pink and ivory/yellow Edomontias too. Whoops, forgot about Birdon Set A, Birdon Set B.

I took Grumble Toy's Sold-out catalog years, and added them to the list--I considered these to be the release years, but please correct any errors. Anything listed as "pre-yyyy", means that GT listed it in their catalog as old stock, so it had to be earlier than the "pre" release year given. I also added a few figures that were missing.

I also added Daniel's wonderful Dino pics and list as well.
If we could get Chris's permission to use his photos, it would fill in many of the figures on the list!

UPDATE 3/9/17: I am filling in the dates on the more recent figures with data provided by Dr. Buta Toothaction! Thank you Deevis! and Rotocasted, and Buta Blog entries by Mr. Ohashisan (dates are in the format "x/x/yyyy", verified from blog entries)
