It sounds like Mori is going to use this to reach out to his US fans more. This is AWESOME!

Anyone have any inside info. I'm asuming there will actually be a US store. I don't think US web orders would require a new website. Does anyone know the potential city?

 

All I know is direct sales is the way to go. This should be awesome! I've got big hopes for this, Mori is always stretching himself.

 

Yeah, I couldn't imagine a US storefront... I assumed it was just a English website with US ordering. That WOULDN'T necessarily require a new site, but it might just be easier for however Mori has it set up to make them separate.

I had mentioned a storefront. Just my guess and hopes. I don't want to start any rumors. I have heard nothing about this project, so don't take anything I say as more than a guess.

Why do we need a store site when Lulu and Roto pretty much carry all the RxH that they can? There's still going to be micro releases that are JP only (or are they JP only cause they sell out so fast). Everyone on here knows how to use a web translator...or better yet, go learn a little JP...at least try to learn some katakana (would it kill you to learn something new).
I'm guessing it's just a mirror site where it will tell you what you can buy or what's coming up...but not be able to buy it from the site directly...just like RHJP.

 

Always the realist. You're probably right. It sure would be nice to get the US prices closer to JP retail though... even if you got the fighters down to $50, I think they'd be a little more attractive. Not that the most recent figures haven't looked worth the price.

 

Maybe Mori wants an additional outlet direct to US fans. That's what it sounds like from Datadub's post in the New Real Head thread. Perhaps this new US site will be a release point for US micro runs in the future.

 

Wouldn't the toys be cheaper from Mori himself, even with shipping to the US and conversion rate?

Also it could just be easier to slip out micro US only runs or things like.

I think there are lots of things that could be done with a direct connection from Mori/RxH to the US/"Western" fans and collectors. I'd be fine with the Japanese site doing it too (vs. just posting pics of what's being released) and using a translator but whatever, dude does what he wants.

 

I am hoping this will be an actual retail website. Money can be allocated to other things, (more toys), and I would prefer to give the man my money instead of going through a third party. So Mori can make even more amazing things. ^___^

But if it's informational only then it's still a win for us as we'll see the goings on at RealxHead and Mori can communicate with his non-Japanese fans.

Yeah... saw that and shat a brick. Can't wait to buy some of the new figures if they show up. $100 (with free shipping!) is much nicer for two figures than $120.
