Krampus was my first thought too, but then it wore off - he just doesn't look very krampus-y once you really look at him. But maybe it's because he's in traditional "devil" colors rather than traditional krampus coloring. Whatever it is - it's pretty awesome!

Congrats Brenda. This is a very nice story to hear. This must have been a very strong feeling when you held it in your hand.
