Post Exceeded Expectations
Sometimes you know a toy is going to be great. Sometimes you get it in your hands and it turns out to be even more than you hoped for. Show us something of yours.

My contribution: Bear Model Hedoron. Bear Model is far and away my favorite company in regards to less contemporary toys/classic kaiju. This toy is raw, rough and everything about it just says pollution. Every tentacle being articulated just makes it that much more fun to pick up and play with. Green vinyl, brown and gold spray. Thank you S7!

I was thinking about picking this one up. He's ugly as hell, but that's what I like about him.

ugly is definitely a good adjective for it. my wife typically ignores my toys, but the day this on went on my shelf she noticed it and remarked basically the same sentiment. if she noticed it, you know the thing is gnarly. definitely worth picking up.

Bear Model does ugly good. Creepy photos. I'd hate to see that outside my house at night.

Nice pictures... somehow this toy reminds me of the weird 'rasta' dog that walked into S7 recently!

If you are sitting on the fence about this one--don't. It is as sweet as Paulie says!

Two and a half years later I had the very same reaction to the very same toy - well, the 2nd edition of the very same toy...

I'm in love with his cousin, too:

Great idea for a thread - here's hoping this bump will scare up some new posts!

Post Re: Exceeded Expectations
I'll join, since I my newest arrival fits the bill. 3 years ago, I spied what looked like a tall & skinny Kanegon that seemed a little goofy. Little did I know he'd take me this long to score, stand taller than my Bemons, and have a crazy number of joined parts. His torso, head, eyes, arms, legs, feet, and tail are all separate pieces of vinyl. I feel like a kid who finally got the old "My Buddy" doll - I wanna take this dude everywhere. I got enough weird looks while toting him all over work today.

This dude continues to prove that colored clear vinyls rule my world - the only paint on him happens to be his gold pocket thing, his eyes, and his gold teeth. Perfect.

This is my favourite Kanegon of any that I have seen. Leave it to Nostalgic Heroes to be the one that comes through with a sculpt that I love. So many great things are going on in one figure; as you mentioned, the articulation, the sweet transparent green. I also just really love his proportions, his body, his arms; everything has been done just right. And he seems to straddle the line perfectly between realism and comedy (and I think too many of the versions err on the latter side). But what ties it all off for me is his feet. They truly complete the character, and go so well with his overall pose. A spectacular piece of vinyl. Congratulations on completing this quest.

So many great Kanegons out there... but that one just rules.
Nice score, man; I can see why you'd tote him all around with you!
