i was wondering, are those IKEA lights dangerous for vinyl discoloration and also the heat..??

I have those IKEA lights and they are not really that bright, i think you would have to leave them on all year to do any damage !

I've put my hand near these lights at the store and it does get hot. All my collector friends say not to use it...and also avoid UV lights as it discolors the vinyl...

Do you have to open your case from the back? I've only seen the counter cases that you open from behind, but it looks like yours is up against a wall?
