Great piece Ralph! I like its kung fu stance (is it kung fu or just street fighting??)--minimal colors, man i like this!
Love the pics.

Love the pics. Thanks Jay! I'm not sure what Sean & Cliffs inspiration is for the Skullmaster stance but it evokes memories of Kato from the "Green Hornet" for me. I just love and admire how much these guys experiment and try so many different techniques with the resin medium. On this figure especially, I think the subtleties of the clear resin and the textures of it's imperfections give it so much depth...it just kicks ass!

Thanks for the awesome pics! The Skullmaster Skullmaster was one of my favorite figures that came out of the Miami show. Glad it went to someone who obviously appreciates what Cliff & Sean are doing. It's nice to see other MonstreHero fans giving them the recognition they rightfully deserve.

Truly a sick piece. Love the clear resin and the skulls inside.

Remember seeing this at the Miami show (along with a few "Victims" too)
Cool that it went to a board member!

Ralph, I have to share your praises of the Skullmaster. Sean and Cliff did such a nice job making this figure one of the most dynamic, action oriented sculpts I own. The Skullsmaster is so well done so great score. I picked up the Metelemental Skullmaster from the same show. Here's a quick peek so as not to threadjack entirely. But I figure sharing the Monstrehero love won't be unappreciated here.

The White (actually sort of pale ice-blue) Skullmaster was one f the first MonstreHero figures I bought. I just love the crystal clear skull knee-wedge. from MonstreHero flickr

Not a fan of resins (tried it with Le Merde) - too statue like for me - but that clear Skullmaster guy is very nice! I especially like his stance - totally has a Jack Kirby dynamism to it - and the shorts make me think classic Fantatstic Four. If I was clear I'd like to rock embedded skulls on casual Friday

If Garagamel or Condo did the sculpting...and Obitsu poured the vinyl.....I'd be a HUGE fan of Le Merde toys. But the heavy ass statues just aren't my thing.

Could there be a chance that vinyl Le Merde figures are coming to fruition at the Thrashout Show? That would be fantastic.

I don't collect Le Merde..but I remember this vinyl version from the sdcc 2008 thread.

That mini is a Super7 project....not sure who sculpted that piece...but I love it.
I doubt that LeMerde is using the Thrashout show to debut standard size vinyl figures....but I'll be there and surely post up from the show if that happens. That kind of news would be very very difficult to keep quiet to this point...IMHO.
