Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
Thanks Wingnut0 for the photo props! Love your Garagoodness. Ungawa222 that's awesome that you did the parababy custom! I love it! Is it possible for me to get some info., year/show whatever? Have you done others? Love the orange Pigmon...do I see a balloon over his left shoulder? Ha So guys, trying to figure out how to add "trades" (not a great computer person) but if anyone is up for trades I have an extra M1GO Blue Chrome Giant that I'd like to turn into same thing but different color (or any gary trade offer that might seem equal). And I also have a Buta no hana red Gary w/teeth that I'd ideally like to trade for a blue w/out teeth (or would consider other grays) These are both in unopened bags but yours don't need to be. I'll figure out the Trades signature asap. Thanks

It was one of the first three customs I did (the other two being a pair of Y-MSF Hedorahs), back in '06. Wasn't for show, I just did him and showed him off here, and Carl ended up buying him. At some point he sold him to Connell (who very graciously sent him back East to be shown in last year's FOE Monster Invitational), and now you've got him! I had a lot of fun with him, and I have been wanting to do another one since (I've done about 10 other Gara-customs, but never another Para-Baby). I'll finally make that a reality soon, as I just scored another flesh blank, on its way to me in the mail as we speak. And yes, that is a balloon over his shoulder! This is definitely supposed to be Pygmon! On another note... anyone here happen to be the one who scored that sweet vintage Gary on evilBay overnight?

Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
Wow, someone got one hell of a bargain on that dude. I wish I could say that it was me. Whomever stumbled across it was just it the right place at exactly the right time, so kudos. (Copying the image here for while it is still available) I can't make out the maker from the name stamp, but maybe an Orange figure? Mike, that hollow orange Pyggy is so sweet. I would definitely love to get one of those. Maybe some type of food or candy premium? - but that is a total guess.

As good a guess as any, Steve; in all my years of poring over toy pics and the Gara- and Pyg-listings on YJA, I had never seen one before receiving this as a gift. At first I thought it might be a pull from the Gara-fishing lure mold, but I've since taken a good look at that sculpt, and it's clearly not. I dunno!

Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
It was me, and I know...very lucky! The listing said Popy Bullmark, but the feet aren't Popy. For me it just looks awesome and figured whomever it turned out to be, it will make a nice addition to my Garafamily. ultrakaiju wrote: Wow, someone got one hell of a bargain on that dude. Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
Awesome, nevermind our jealousy, it's all part of the chase super happy it was an appreciating SBer. I know I have seen that type of ribbed feet on another vintage figure before, I can't remember for sure if it was one of my Orange guys or which maker exactly, but it is a not unknown company (may be an official licensee or not). I'll be interested to see some better shots once you get it in hand. PS - Just had another look to try and make it out again, and it appears in the photo that the left foot is stamped 'replica' so this might be a later issue. Such a cool version, I really love the paint on top of red vinyl (the damage causing it to show through makes it that much cooler).

Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
About that eBay green over red Garamon that came and went in the night----the posting had a closeup of the feet ---the left foot shows in English the letters "REPLICA." I have various B-Club and M1gou repros of this same figure and none of the ones I have include this! So, vintage, no--but who exactly made this? The mystery continues! http://www.flickr.com/photos/ultralex/7432204786/in/photostream

Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
Well I love mysteries! I've inquired of the Ebayer that sold it to me, why it says REPLICA and if it is a Popy Bullmark? That being said I also told him the answer doesn't matter and that I LOVE the piece no matter what we find. I can't wait till he's here and part of my collection!

Frickin awesome shot Alan! I love this Garamon. I had some help from a fellow SBer and landed this a few months ago, he's amazing in hand.

Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
Fun on the fourth! Popy B-Club 2004 Dark Fantasy Garamon set. This must be one of the strangest Gary's I've ever purchased. They came as a set and when they arrived I couldn't believe how big and fat the one dude was! All strange with the teeth and just plain awesome and weird. The small one is so animated/cutesy I have no idea how they work as a set. Not sure how they will look with the rest of my collection but they sure are funny.

What a great find Todd! Both of those are so unique. I'm all for the oddball and the outsider. I say you stick them right in the middle of the group with pride.

Re: Post Your Garamon/ Pigmon collections
Quite the pick-up, Todd; as a former owner of that one, I can say it is a BEAST in person- heavy and shelf-hoggeriffic. And I’m a former owner because that’s pretty much the only Gara-toy that actually creeped me out once I received it, and I had to get it back out the door pretty quick. Maybe if it had just been half the size… Anyway, it’s based on a reimagining of Garamon from the 2004 series Ultra Q: Dark Fantasy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_Q:_Dark_Fantasy

^^^ I'm not too down with it's look, but I'm sure I would have spent more time with it were any English subs out there. "Critics" liked it.
YouTube can give you a fix, I'm sure.
