And, speaking of vintage omissions.....

With special thanks to Charlie! :) This guy turned into quite an ordeal for me, but fills in a much forlorned gap in my M1 set. Probably the best plant monster, a complete OG, and in a spiffy salaryman suit no less. What is not to admire?

Great pickup! M1 has some really fun sculpts and this is a prime example.

Fine guys, I guess I will just have to post more toys. I present another fine example of the craft and another beauty from Yuji. Pestar, as envisioned in his 'Bullmark' form and in lustrous GID vinyl.

Considering how many odd characters made it into toys, this guy seems like a glaring omission of the '66 crew, but maybe the manufacturing just wasn't there at the time. Anyhow, even as nice as this fella looks, until you have one in hand you can't even imagine how great a toy it is I think. Superb sculpting, excellent paint, and such thickness and heft. A great kaiju, and one of the few to my knowledge to have required two actors to operate the costume.
Great grab, Steve! A bedrock beastie and a chunky centerpiece in one.

Isn't it just Pestar and Dodongo that are a two man operation, as far as Ultraman proper goes? Tight line-up there.

Post Re: Show the love for M1-GO!
Recently I picked up (in trade) several vinyl pieces that I loved, but I really don't know anything about who they were or what series they came from… I just got them cause I really liked them. This piece is one of them! I tried to find out who he was by searching through the threads here. He is actually on the first page of this thread, but there is no name (and I'm not getting a response from the original poster). I also tried to find him on the Club Tokyo website, as well as general web searches, but no luck there either. I gather that he is an M1 reissue of a Bullmark figure (judging by the marks on his feet and capsule), but that's all I can figure out. He also has a date stamp of 2001. Being new to vinyl and relatively new to SB, I'm here hoping that someone can help me identify him. I absolutely love this guy, and frankly, he's opened up my interest to M1 pieces too, haha.

Anyway, I hope someone can help me identify him!
Thanks for your time!

That guy's name is Yadokarin (ヤドカリン) and he is from Return of Ultraman/Jack.

He can be detached from the space capsule/station on the Bullmark version (not sure on the M1, as I haven't had the privilege).

^^^ THANK YOU SO MUCH ULTRAKAIJU!!!!! I really appreciate it :). I spent so much time looking around for any info on him… i can't thank you enough. I have to admit, I was rather embarrassed coming here and asking the pros  , but I'm glad I did. The capsule does detach from him too… it's really a great feature :D. I can't tell you how in love with this guy I am, haha. It's just such an impressive/good looking figure. I knew I already liked M1 figures, but I was trying to restrain myself… this pretty much blew the doors right open for me, haha.

Anyway, thank you again my friend. I really appreciate it!

I didn't realize that there was a standard-size Bullmark Yadokarin. Isn't this a new (well, 13 year old) sculpt by M1?

As far as I knew the only repro from the Return of Ultraman set was the B-Club King Maimai:

M1 Yadokarin; BearModel Kodaigon; B-Club King Maimai (adult); Yamanaya King Maimai (larva)

BUT I've been wrong before!

Yes, in fact I believe you are right David. I was a bit thrown by the colour of this guy, and the change from the standard M1 header, but you can I believe see the M1 logo in green in the bottom right corner. So, no other version then, just really bad colour realisation in those pictures (at least by my monitor). It also makes sense that in the set with already one B-Club, all the companies should be represented. :)

Post Re: Show the love for M1-GO!
^^^ So this might be my new-ness showing, but doesn't the Bullmark stamp on the foot and the M1 stamp on the capsule mean that this was originally a Bullmark Standard-Size? Not a new M1 sculpt....

Forgive my ignorance if I am asking a dumb question here, haha.

M1 stamp on the capsule??? That's crazy-talk! Okay, I'll defer to the smarter guys...

Anyway, welcome, Jim!

Time for my annual reminder of the M1GO toy I'd love to have made the most right now. Ever more urgent as this is the 25th Anniversary of the movie and the 60th Anniversary of the king.

Beautiful photo of an excellent toy Lixx. Really shows off how amazing these guys are, in both sculpt and Yuji's painting. Anybody who hasn't seen one in person might not have appreciated them as much as they should, but that close-up pic really does it justice. I never see this lottery version except in your collection pics. :)

Damjj Rei, that is a mighty fine trio of Dadas you got yourself there. The one on the left is especially drool-worthy.
