Recent activity inspired me to go back through some old photos and find some stuff I hadn't posted here yet. Gives me the chance now to share a real glory for me. One of those toys I immediately fell in love with at first site. There is just so much going on with this little fella that comes together in a perfect storm for me, and makes it one of the favourite toys in my collection. Superb sculpt, brilliant idea, wonderful paint, suspenders, and most of all it's a Goji AND a hero/man figure at the same time - and do I need to mention that it is Haruo Nakajima?!
Yuji, you are indeed the man for bringing this wonder to life. I am really thankful for the joy of your creations. If someone ever mentions the phrase "pants suit" to me, this scene is what comes straight to mind - and I wouldn't have it any other way. It took me a very long time to hunt one of these fellas down; not that they are particularly rare, but they are understandably very popular, and deservedly so. Did I mention this is a great toy? The timing finally came together at one point and I was just ecstatic. True vinyl love. (Even though some pesky silly kid wrote his name all over the toy.)
Very nice grab Steve. This figure has become extremely popular among Godzilla collectors to get and bring to G-Fest or any of the other events Haruo Nakajima attends to have them sign.

Re: Show the love for M1-GO!
Ah, thanks for letting me know. I have seen a heck of a lot of signed ones, but mostly all of the brown pants version as far as my memory goes, which I took [them] to have been done at the specific event it was released at. It makes sense though, that this would be an ideal figure to bring along if you knew he would be available at a 'fest. I am still hunting some of the other colour versions, with green Goji legs being my main target.

Re: Show the love for M1-GO!
It really saddens me that Bullmark never made a vintage figure of King Caesar. My collection is really lacking this entity, and I really don't love any of the offerings out there. Of all the companies, I would really love to see an M1 rendition of King Caesar. Just thought I should throw this out there. Maybe someone with connections can pass this idea along and we can see this happen. They have gone back to make plenty of classic creatures, such as the Gargantuas, Mothra Faeries, etc.
No ones talking about the WF stuff from last week??? All look great, especially the Garamon 1st version Marusan type, they are made in a really soft material so there is almost no shrinkage, size is close to the original toy which is as close as most of us will ever get to having one.

Ahh I didn't even hear about it.. Are there any good reports online from this recent WF? I don't think KK was there.
Yeah, the Yadokarin is great. The Garamon also had a variant "paint rub vintage" version too.

Haha, you think people still care about silly M1 toys Dennis, outside of the few of us who just talk to each other? Why would they, they are amazing classic kaiju characters, executed spectacularly in vinyl, with fantastic paint jobs, and don't have any hype or artist build-up surrounding them. That would just be silly.

The new releases are really nice, especially the Yadokarin. I was very happy to see a new version of him come out. If I had had the scratch I would have grabbed him for sure when I saw him come for sale. As much as I do love that new Gary, and the Garamon figures are always fantastic, I am a bit disappointed to continually just see more and more of these releases now at the festivals. I would really love to see Yuji take turns to revisit some other excellent sculpts that haven't been out there for a while, or - dare I dream? - something entirely new and original he might have stashed away. Garamon is an easy sell, and certainly incredibly popular, if not the most desired character, in Japan, so I understand it. There is just so much OTHER equally amazing toy choice in the library of M1-Go stuff [which is just why seeing this Yadokarin was such a very pleasant surprise]. Wonderful releases though, and at those prices, I cannot see how anyone would spend their money on elsevinyl. Thank you M1 for continuing to put out excellent toys for those of us who appreciate them.

Re: Show the love for M1-GO!
I want to show my love for M1 but I don't live in Japan. Apparently M1 did the reverse colors of my all time favorite mini Bullmark Goji that I own. Only made it better! I'm obsessed with any licensed toy made with metallic purple paint applied. M1 did 2 minis (the one I own) and this new variant for Hashimoto Toy Store (scroll 2/3 the way down for a peek):
Don't know how I can my mitts on this mini but I'd love it!
Man to live in Japan would be a dream, I would probably live in this toy store and be so poor I'd be homeless. When they kick me out I'd just do the rounds of this, CKA, Mandarake, US Toys, Shikaruna, Ichi, and any other vintage shop I could find till I passed out.

^^ Looks like he couldn't find a public toilet so he had to settle for an ultra-shit in the woods
Here's my latest M1-Go. Viras. It was nice to be able to buy some quality vinyl from the UK for a change, thanks Ian.

Re: Show the love for M1-GO!
^^Awesome.
I don't suppose M1 (or anyone else, for that matter) did a GID Viras?
Excellent pickup Moog! Still a supreme classic, and so underrated. As much as my own leanings tend towards the Tsubu realm, some of these Toho creatures remain really high up there in my books and are criminally forgotten or overlooked.

Not that I am aware of Sanjeev, but, now that you have mentioned it, I cannot UNWANT it. I would love to see Yuji resurrect some of these older sculpts, and in GID vinyl he sure would be lovely. He would definitely be a nice addition to the 'rainbow' Toho series from M1-Go (although a scaled-up version might even be more scrumptious).
