^^^ Great set, Chris! The red Titanosaurus with a mini MG that came out at the same time is awesome, too. Good luck on the 74 repro hunt - it's absolutely as nice as you think it is.

Thanks David. Yeah I'd love to just find the mini MG in these colors solo...The glow Titanosaurus that I have (with this mini) is enough Titano for me.

Besides being a 74 with a different chest plate and no MG on arms, is the HMV much different? From pictures I've seen the metallic green seems more abundant and of course it's suppose to be an exact clone of the original Bullmark (well at least the black spray on the arms version)

Well for starters it does have an MG on each arm, just not the 2. Beyond that there are a ton of little differences between the sculpts - the "OG" has more small spines on the head and a taller peak fin, as well as pointier teeth and a slightly different shape to the side rivets. In the back the pattern on the shoulders is quite different and the part of the tail that extends is a bit longer and lacks rivets. From pics the differences between the breastplates is very clear, but what you can't really see is that the Bullmark's potbelly is pleasingly lopsided. There are dozens more tiny differences between the two, enough to keep you squinting for a while! As far as the paint job goes, I'm sure you know that the grey is an allover spray on flesh rather than grey vinyl, and other than that both the green and black sprays are a good bit more generous as far as coverage, and the MG insignia is just painted over rather than accented like on MG2. Hmm, maybe I'll try my hand at some close up comparison shots and throw them up in Show the Love...

Whew.

One day I'll be able to eyeball an original, but the 74 repro makes for an amazing placeholder.

The kappa in the fiber eating dragon sculpt is not related but has a similar pose, see etsy or the big cartel fiber eating dragon site on face book as well.

similar oh yes but the sculptor never new the candy case existed

Nah, I'd never seen that Tepeto mini before. No water plate head / shell-back seems like a giveaway though.
The Underwater Love Kappa is 100% original, though it's surprising that they have a similar pose.

I snagged these really sweet blow-molded Lucha Libre figures from Mexico. These guys are huge, about 9" tall, and all decked out for action. I am really excited to have these guys battle it out with some classic kaiju monsters, especially the enduring duo of El Santo and Blue Demon. Santo contro Los Godzillas anyone?
