I forgot to mention, that if you flip the car over, it has a large rectangular panel, that looks like you could pull it open, but I was too chicken, because it was stuck. Does anyone know what that panel is for?

^ pic? If the rest of the toy is one piece of vinyl then that was where the seam was in the mold, where te flash once was so they have to but a cap there to seal the toy (otherwise it would be a "finger puppet"). I dont know anything about these racers but its common feature on small toys

I've got to find my camera's download cable . The carpenter isn't around this week, so I'll post a pic as soon as I find the cable (or carpenter). It's quite a large panel too!

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Grace, if you break out your hairdryer and aim some hot air at the panel for a minute or so you should be able to remove the panel relatively easily. Once inside make sure to insert three magic pebbles before you replace the hatch and that will guarantee a solid crop this season.

so cute! well, that sounds good David. Now... I'll have to find my hair dryer! Having your entire house packed up in bins, bags, and boxes for a year and a half, is soooooooooo frustrating!

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Yes! I was so happy when it popped back into my head today. William Steig's Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, Maurice Sendak's In the Night Kitchen and Leo Leoni's Fish is Fish were my favorites. It's Sendak's birthday today, by the way. Happy Birthday, Maurice! And now back to vinyl...

So who's going to start that Racer thread then? Someone needs to

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I'll post a pic when I find my camera cable. I'm wondering if the panel was meant to be removed so that you could stick the bottom part of the monster on? Does anyone know if the legs come as a separate piece? Not too sure about that, but it's very puzzling. I was definitely bummed when it wasn't GID . Kept holding it up to my contractor's portable work light (reeeeeeeeeeeeally bright and hot too!), then dashed into a dark room, and 'nuttin (my carpenter has a Boston accent )--tested it several times too, with Henry and Emma dashing after me, wondering what all the fuss was about . There is suppose to be a "mini race meet" at my house soon , once they convene, and I find my camera cable, then I'll post a RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRacer thread ... P.S. I also adore the Sylvester stories!

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I got this CCP Hedorah from Japan today. The eyes look really cool in person. They're supposed to light-up but they don't work. Either they eyes are broken or the batteries are dead. I went searching for replacement AG10 batteries today and couldn't find any.

^ Josh, good luck finding the batteries. Hedorah's light-up eyes effect must be beautiful... I am seduced by one-off GoriGori! And Lény, you made my new monkey even more special adding a little something to it... Merci!!!

My favorite Hedorah sculpt. That green with the purple eyes looks super nice.
