 Re: Favorite shelf
Hey Gerrard, why do all of the TMNT have the same mask colour? And, those figures are quite recent, right?

Awesome RV shelf. Dril's custom is one of my all-time favorites.

Axolotl wrote: Hey Gerrard, why do all of the TMNT have the same mask colour? And, those figures are quite recent, right? The TMNT figures are based off the comic versions. they all had red mask. I think the different colors came into play when the show was being developed...? yeah, the figures came out last year. By NECA. I don't know how they hold up to heavy play, but they seem very well made and look great. the bodies are the same, but the head sculpts and weapons are really the only difference--but man, NECA did a great job bringing out the personalities with the head sculpts, so it's very satisfying. Don and Mikey are my favorites, but they all look awesome. And the plastics are different for certain parts; the bodies are hard plastic, the heads are somewhere between soft and hard (there is a lot of texture), the front shell is softer plastic, the elbow and knee pads are soft rubbery plastic, and the back shell is hard plastic. they have really great articulation--even a chest joint! my only wish is that they gave them a ball joint at the ankle for a little more articulation there--but no biggie. I'm glad I finally made some space for them in my cabinet. here's a review I found with some more pics: http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_042308a.htm

Ultra999 wrote: simple, but it's been my favorite for a while: effing cool. that original green Globby is one of my favorites...and remains proudly on display at all times. I've often thought about rotating my collection through bell jars...it's always appealed to me, but I'm really very clutter prone. I put toys (along with books and other tchotchkes) in every nook and cranny of the places I live, work, visit, etc. This pic is a shot in the arm to remind me how beautiful simplicity can be! one question though - what does this look like in situ? it's not normally in a photobox or on backdrop paper, is it?

I also dig my bell jar, and rotate the figures every week or so. Currently, I'm featuring a Hedo pyramid.

 Re: Favorite shelf
^^^ I thought the same thing too until I looked a little closer. A 30" bell jar would be stellar though.

The minis don't have that articulation... I think they're the new mid-sized from the eye sets. Gorgeous display.

 Re: Favorite shelf
I bought mine online somewhere, though I don't remember the site. Just google "glass dome display" or "bell jar" and you'll be good to go.
Really like the way it it sits atop the cabinet, like a cake topper or something.
