Re: Mo' Buta
Wonderful stuff Deevis! The first photo is my fav. Looks like he's either hiding for dear life, or about to waylay the poor little assistant. Nice vivid colors and textures too

Re: Mo' Buta
Thanks, all! I couldn't have been happier to discover this rusty nook; the unexpected highlight of a sojourn deep into blandest suburbia.
Welcome to the fold, Fedhai!

Re: Mo' Buta
So lovely, congratulations man! One of the best combinations of concepts, colours, and execution. I would love to see some of these quirky characters realised in full size toys.

Re: Mo' Buta
Thanks! I also love how he looks in the packaging; I might have to keep him on the wall for a little while before I unbag him! Full size Butas? Yes please! They'd probably be twice as expensive though It'd be interesting to see how these sculpts would translate to a standard size...

Re: Mo' Buta
Butas are already full size! More than a handful is a waste, as the kids used to say.

Seconded. Those are both some crazy amazing Buta toys, which are heavily sought after (by myself included). Amazing Michael, congratulations on getting a pair of knockouts right there.

Re: Mo' Buta
Dang, those are some pretty incredible toys to dig out, Grace. I just love the dino set and the rainbow colours, but especially those little cavepeoples, man have I envied the set! So nice to see some real gems finally be unwrapped. A lot of guys in those groupings I have pined after. The Thundermask w/ fleshy face is a real winner for me, but so is the Australopithecus lady.

Re: Mo' Buta
I love love the fake Popy Thundermask, but Fleshy Face is a dream in plastic! One day, maybe. I can't believe that you forgot you had him, ha! So are your Pandora and child on orange vinyl? I've squinted at so many images of that set, but have never had the pleasure of being able to confirm first-hand what the pics suggest.

Re: Mo' Buta
Yes, do tell. In fact, I request - nay, demand - full reports on all these wonderful toys you are digging out, and a continual documentation of the unearthing as the archives of amazing toys become unboxed.

Re: Mo' Buta
Yes, it's the Orange Pandababs! Stevie, you know about this one... Deevis, the Yellow GID Pandababs are here... I don't have the purply ones (somehow that purple version didn't appeal ) ...sorry for the "packaging" and clumsy photos, but at this stage, I've forgotten how many Butas I have. At this point, I'm opening boxes and trying to grab all of the buta and assemble them into one giant box, until the cases are ready p.s. Steve, I have to agree, those cavies are the bee's knees!
