Inner emotions

Wow. I just don't even know. WOW.

Congratulations are well and truly in order on that batch of arrivals. Lovely toys all; well played, sir. And you know where I am coming from on that. But, unless my monitor's colours are playing tricks on me, you've been hiding the secret identity in there David. :P

Secret identity? Do you mean this guy?
Image
And it's not Mighty Atom himself, James, but certainly a close relative!

Post Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
While I have seen various colours schemes on both characters (typically, actually, I think they are done the same colour in simultaneous appearances - whereas the OG manga is black and white it is anybody's guess), I think that the Buta version for the figures specifically has the blue belt for Astro, and the green for his cousin Cobalt. Making this an actual Astro (though that is going from the belt shown in the pics). But the more clear giveaway is the head points.

For reference, I am going with the 'denoted' names on the Buta flyer, which seem to show this (if I am reading it right):
http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&p=836820&#p836820

i.e. Cobalt on the left (コバルト), [Mighty] Atom on the right (アトム)

I am just using this for lack of any other guide. As I don't think the individual headers for the toys denote the specific character for each packaging, I am not sure what other 'official' resource to go by, but would welcome clarification if anyone has it on these fellas.

Not that I ever claim to know what's what, and I would really give my eye teeth for either. :)

Well I always thought that the blue looked lighter than the green, generally, and it was hard to tell from those tiny snaps which was which for sure, but does seem to be that way in the enlarged versions (though there is more contrast with the background).

The simple answer is, if you wouldn't just tease us and would show us the whole shot or his head at least, all questions would be answered.

Since iv'e never held one of those Buta dinos, can anyone tell me if they are squishy? The materials consistency gives me the idea they should be squishy.

This is a good question though, are all the flesh colored dinos squishy? And is flesh the only squishy version? I know pink, cream, green, and light blue aren't squishy.

I always assumed the blank pink are squishy, I should have jumped on the set someone had here for sale weeks ago.

Actually the prior assortment in brown, red and yellow vinyl is also squishy. Perhaps slightly less so than the flesh set.
