These mascot banks (approx 10cm tall) are issued by a Japanese bank (not sure which one). This version was issued in 1969 for the Apollo Moon mission.

Wow I had no idea he was that old! I have only been able to ID him and the bear who is made by Hokkaido Takushoku Bank. Fuji Bank apparently made 15 other versions of this guys (Hawaiian,Greek,Arabian,etc) which I am now on the hunt for!

There are usually several on Mandarake. I have the 50's style Space Man version.
