Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
My friend Joe Whiteford painted this awesome Rat Bat Spider. I was very happy when I saw it in person to say the least.

Damn that is Fangtastic!
Very clean for that style of painting- striped highlights make it extra creepy!

Possibly my favorite toy paint-up Joe has done to date. UNBELIEVABLE to me that it sat in his webshop for as long as it did. Superbly cool pick-up, Josh!

It is definitely one of his top customs. I have a hard time deciding if I like the Rotten Rexx he did for me more than this Rat Bat Spider or not. Joe's style works great with stuff like this Rat Bat Spider. The paint apps on it looks so real in person. I wanted this custom since he first showed it to me but I couldn't afford it. I couldn't resist the pick up after he lowered the price though, especially since Rat Bat Spider has been one of my favorite vinyl figures for a long time. On a side note, my wife was even very impressed with this Rat Bat Spider. She normally doesn't like most of what I buy. So I was surprised when she said how good this guy looked.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
^^ If you mean the octopus, i haven't been able to find out anything about it. No makers marks or anything.
Its just referred to as Takosofubi . . . . Tako is Japanese for octopus. I'd welcome some reliable info about it.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I got this Guyot in the mail a while back but never posted a picture of it. The details of this thing are pretty awesome in person. It has silver inside of the translucent body for a really nice effect.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Since I've had a few questions sent to me about Guyot I thought I'd share the information here as well. First of all I bought this at Mandarake. Based on the translation I got from the title of the item it appears to be made by Future Models. It is a monster called Guyot and the version I have is the dark awakening version. It has 9 points of articulation. I've seen a total of 3 different versions online. I've done a little research on where this monster came from as well and found out it is was created by Kazuo Umezu, who is an author of horror and Manga. Here is a picture of the inside of Guyot's mouth.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
^^ The company is actually "Fewture Models". They had a series of collaborative vinyl figures with Kazuo Umezu, although it looks like the web page for those is no longer up.

That makes more sense. I've heard of Fewture, but I went with the translation of the item title. Thanks for the correction.
