Nice looking yellow rugby capsule you've got there!

Hate to tell you, but there are 12 dino-like Buta sculpts out there, plus a growing wealth of early human types. Your new-to-you green protoceratops is one of the best, I'd say. Love that milky green.

Cheat sheet: http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic. ... 82#p787182

Yes, knew there were 12 or more; am bravely in denial of despair here, the green one *was one of the ones that I had and supposedly there were some more one off dinos in his earlier phase, but am not sure. Also, have seen the database, all of you who worked on it should be proud, it is a thing of beauty! The painted GIDs will prolly always be my faves.

Just haven't gotten around to unpacking my toys yet!

WOW!!!! Super fantastic collection Grace!! Do you think you will open any of them? I've opened most of mine but have kept some still sealed in their bags.

No way, opened is the way to go! Especially with Buta toys, their fun nature and convenient size is just begging to set them free to play in the wild.

I'm not endorsing keeping your toys shrouded - although Rei has a nice system for making that seem okay* - just outing dear Gracie. :)

That's true, Rei does have a very respectable system, and I cede to the counterpoint. I just know I don't have the patience, organisation, or 'hands-off' ability to handle that kind of undertaking in my own place. I do love the mix, it has a great display, and I can certainly appreciate a nice way to be able to showcase the wonderful packaging and header art on a lot of these toys.

Thanks guys. I do love a very few amount of my toys in their package! Sometimes they're too beautiful to open, but to be fair it's almost always the little ones (that Fake Baron ~my only bagged standard~ was a prize, and he looks so good in there ;) ) That said, I like reserving the leisure to open any one of those gems upon impulse, or when there's a toy drought 8)

Ha! It never gets old. Plus, I love seeing the inclusion of those squat bootlegs.

David, you need to find yourself a Japanese narrator and get on doing one of these with your Buta army. And I mean yesterday.

Post Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
^ What the hell did I just watch?!

A short little story about this guy: I came across him in Tim Plover's (I think) collection photos back when I first got into sofubi and fell in love with the sculpt / character design. He sat on my wants list for probably 6-7+ years with no luck, and I wound up just removing him from it at some point. I figured I'd give up since a) I actively try to not collect licensed kaiju, and b) I'll never find him anyway. The kind soul who got this toy into my hands saw it for sale and snatched it up, but couldn't remember who was looking for it. They happened to be clearing out their PMs and came across one of mine from 2014, where I must have brought it up, and here we are.

Thanks a lot, guys. The feeling of finally crossing a bigtime want off of my list has come a few times in recent months, and I am very thankful for that. But there's more to it than just that for me -- The sense of camaraderie, one collector truly looking out for another, when stuff like this happens, makes collecting all the more enjoyable.

Also, the art on the header card is so boss:

^ He certainly is that. Quite an stunner, I am loving so much about this figure, and a phenomenal first debut. Surprised it lasted this long under the covers, but now that he has made his way into the yards and homes of SBer, long live Otus I say!
