Wow they're incredible!!! :D

My first Celga box arrived the other day (more pics to follow) - originally I thought I'd bought 2 the same (by mistake!!!) but they appear to be different!

Not seen the blue with green on the neck before - is it official or is it a blue/yellow one that's been left in the sun too long?

Ian I noticed that from your flickr page. Seeing the pic on a larger scale I'm going to have to go with the blue/green matango being a mistake. Perhaps someone at M1 ran out of paint and never got back to giving it another coat. It looks like it wanted to be yellow but not enough paint was applied. Being that the matango base vinyl is blue the transparent (or light) coat of yellow gives it a green appearance. Yellow + Blue= Green

That first batch of blue metallic Matangos was rejected for quality issues. Some of them were re-worked and became the blue Hawaiian Matango. Maybe that is one that was rejected and not re-worked. The metallic blue looks more like the metallic blue base color on the blue Hawaiian, than the blue on the redone blue with yellow.

Those Matangos are beautiful! I just missed out on sniping an auction for a blue one because my neighbor wouldn't stop yapping and I got back home just a couple minutes too late! Someday I'll get an M1 Matango...

I must say that I was taking a look at my metallic blue matango (not the blue hawaiian one) and it's poorly painted for m1 standards. The back of the head has no gloss what so ever, like it was completely missed- it almost looks matte. I was always under the impression that the blue hawaiian one was the defect and the regular blue was to make up for it but I guess I got that wrong, thanks Alex. Blue Hawaiian has a nice paint job. Speaking of Matango, does anyone know the breakdown of how many were made of each (run)? I know the Black painted one is only 100. The Yellow painted I believe someone said in the 60's.

Damn yous! [shakes fist] Naw, I'm glad someone here got it and that we didn't end up driving the price up for each other. Hopefully I'll find another sometime soonish. I'd love to get any of them except for the green/yellow GID.

Wonderfest Winter 2006. Yeah I like this version the best. I mean the other GID versions- Gold, Pink/Blue, and Ringtoss are nice but this version with the bright green, yellow and brown paint is tops in my book. The paint really stands out on it. I put it on my GID shelf and it really jumps out way more than the other pieces.

It was the last one I needed so I was going high because I've only seen it come up twice on YJA in 10 months. Normally I do back off when I see another skullbrainer there first though.....

Thanks. Not ever planning to sell the woo family but if I ever do you'll be the first to know! For some reason Marmit Woo's have become a bit of a rarity on YJA (the M1 Woo- is not hard to score). I thought for sure that GID Blue Painted I was after would have made an apperance but no....
