Some very nice collection shots here.

Sometimes, however, these kind of shelf-by-shelf or mass collection shots look kind of like pictures of people at family reunions, or crowds of people at sports events. To me, the more interesting shots focus in on the individuals in the crowd. Or take them out of the crowd completely so that they have nowhere to hide. Once they are alone, you can get a better sense of their individual stories.

To each his or her own...

I like the full collection shots because, unless you're weird and don't display your stuff, the collection itself is, in a way, a piece of art. The way you define yourself with a multitude of sculpts/colors/companies/themes etc. Each piece is worth it's own view, of course, but than a final step back seals the deal and makes the overall collection truly defined.

I believe the title of this thread is whole collection shots.
We have enough people posting pictures of the same individual figures in separate threads.
And, oh my!

Well I basically was just cleaning and figured it was the one time I'd have everyone grouped up (and not caged in the detolfs). Certainly if given the time, better lighting, and a better camera equipped with a wide angle lense, well the shots would be much better.

Anyhow enough of the words, lets see some more Whole Collection Shots...

The group shots are great as cause of the crowd feel to it. Some of Lixx's almost look like photos of an audience at a concert.
Some other group shots in the last looked like a Toyko train station at rush hour.

awesome collection shots Lixx, i plan on following suit soon and posting up mine, I just need to wait for a friend with a decent camera to come for a visit.

I fucking love that GID Sofvi Life Hedorah. I hope to some day obtain one of those. Very nice stuff, Lixx. Incidentally, I finally picked up something you helped me find a few weeks back. Can't wait for it to come home!

I will be moving this weekend so I have, sadly, had to start packing up my entire collection. I think once I get settled I will take similar shots of all my toys standing together.

I kind of wish I could get rid of the detolfs and get better, longer shelving where the toys can all mingle together better.

Yeah that Sofvi Life Hedorah is not GID. Would be cool but he's just a milky glossy color, which is still nice. Love that Hedorah! What was it that I helped you find?

Yeah personally I'd like to have a mass toy shelf but space and dust keep me in detolf mode for the time being.

C-Money, I concur, your collection is smokin' hot you crazy basterd! It sort of reminds me of my own, in the sense that it is extremely eclectic in the creatures you come across. Not necessarily 'completist', but 'unique-ist' (I think I just made that word).

So many great figures in there. I love a good group shot - keeps a person interested and makes returning to take another look a lot of fun.

as for that sofvi life hedo. are these hard to come by? i think i remember kt having a sofvi life section on their site and it seems to be gone (or i'm not looking in the right place. i'm not to familar with this company). and even when i looked through their stock, it was always all sold out....

That's because it's no longer on KT. I was looking for it weeks ago and it appears to be gone. Sofvi Life has not really released many new things I guess.

There was a Sofvi Life Hedorah just on YJA this week so.....they pop up. Of course the last month I was looking none popped up and prior to that I saw at least 3 last month.
