 Re: Favorite shelf
Wow!! Great shot! Awesome collection! Are your Garamons doubles or subtlely different? I've got a red and a blue coming and have been curious how many other colors there are.

Love the Butanohana Shelf!! tobor2099 wrote: Are your Garamons doubles or subtlely different? I've got a red and a blue coming and have been curious how many other colors there are. There are two versions for each Garamon, subtle differences in the face and chest sculpting, I don't know the full background as I haven't seen all of UltraQ yet.

 Re: Favorite shelf
^^ thanks guys. and yea, tobor, no doubles. there is a regular version in blue and red, then the omega version in blue, and anchor(name?) version in red. so 3 completely different sculpts. pretty crazy seeing as how they are extremely similar, they are not just modified versions of the existing sculpt though. completely different altogether. I photoshopped this a long time ago, it shows the facial differences between the blues. (regular on top, omega on the bottom)

 Re: Favorite shelf
Time was when my misc shelf was something of a dumping ground, but now it's fast become my favourite! Need to treat my Obake ghosts to a more prominent display though, and maybe get some new mates for them whilst I'm at it.

I'm glad it's not just my Mr Meltys that lean so much, they look like a bunch of drunkards all together. And yeah, i have a similar love-hate relationship with my misc. shelf.

 Re: Favorite shelf
Why does the bottom have the Omega designation? Random, but I love that omega is in the name.

Different head and sculpts. on the chest. Below is the anchor garamon and omega garamon. Other garamon have different faces and chests.

Sick of vintage toys getting dusty up top so I made a new shelf next to the other hero shelves:

Ewww, so ugly.
But really, Lixx, you are the master of the risers and staggering the different sizes of toys. I always love your collection pics; like something in a Japanese toy museum. If I can't have the toys, I can at least appreciate looking at them endlessly.

Thanks guys! Not buying doesn't mean you can have fun tweeking what ya got! ultrakaiju wrote: But really, Lixx, you are the master of the risers and staggering the different sizes of toys. I think we all have it especially collecting toys. Whenever I change things up I obsess over field of vision. If a toy seems too hidden I will tweek till it somehow can be seen. Like right now the non clear Popy Iron King is sort of bugging me in this pic but can be seen quite well from my vantage point. It's all varied risers and lots of arm manipulation. I draw inspiration from many of the vintage guys here and CKA pics (which I'm still sad I can no longer view properly on that site or pull anymore) EVOM wrote: Great shelf lixx! Don't sell yourself short, that Buta army looks like it took a shitload of work and patience. Looks great btw!

 Re: Favorite shelf
Using these for risers: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70177477/Bad shot, but here's the close 2nd favorite. I like to see the backs of the figures and hear the music in my head they represent. The words on the bottom of the glow one are from a song I got to do the English translation for.
