Awesome pics, Chris...but they beg the question: how do you have one more Gaira than you have Sanda's??? My understanding was that these were ALWAYS sold in sets.

The purple Gaira in front was a M1 lottery item. So no Sanda counterpart.

Man, what a beautiful line-up Lixx. That is literally my whole wants list right there. My love for the gargantuan duo remains sadly unfulfilled.

I agree, that sounds so strange (and sad). I hope that maybe there is, somewhere, we just don't know about yet. There just has to be. Yes, I will keep telling myself that. :|

Those Gargantuas are M1 gold! Nice collection Chris and I'm really friggin jealous! ; )
Yeah it is odd there's no Sanda but the Gaira seems to have been one of a selection of lottery items if I'm reading the blog correctly;

The purple steals the show. Whenever M1 does metallics on black it always kils.

This was a direct mail offer, for every 30,000 yen you spent you would get one random figure from this picture. The toys for sale were the red Hedorahs and the giant size Ultraman and I think a couple other figures, all painted and unpainted versions. I got the Titano bank duo and the purple Gaira. Im still hunting that blue GMK. :(

Those two GMK figures in the picture are pretty much my two favorite figures ever, but I can't recall seeing either come up for sale in the last couple of years. I've just kind of accepted that I'll never have either. Oh well.

I am assuming those are all the same sculpt, i.e. mini MG1s, but what are the two greys with blue spray, are those the ones that came with red or gold painted eyes (and I think the chest might have been different maybe, but of course can't make it out at this angle)?

Anyway, beautiful set, I really stand in awe of your Mechagodzilla collection Ian.

Seems like M1 mini mechagodzilla rarely pop up for sale, at least I never see any. Is there a glow variant? Wait I probably could just go over to club tokyo.

Yeah you rarely ever see them by themselves, mostly just in the large set or sometimes in the eggs, but it is definitely one of the more popular minis I think.
