Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I was quite certain it would illicit some comments Like quite a few of my Bwana pieces it really does look better in hand. I often wonder about his customs when he lists them but once they arrive I am always impressed. Gaudy? Yes but I like that when it's done right and this guy complements my Bwana shelf quite nicely. The hair looks much cooler in person, is just plain fun and reminds me of the 70's. Funky for sure but certainly not for everyone. That's just fine with me. Now if a few of you would like to sell me "better" examples of Mibora I would begrudgingly consider your point. I would have been worried if Andy didn't hate it but I'm surprised no one lamented the customizing of an unpainted gold glitter Mibora.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I think Bwana Spoons does amazing work and nearly all that I've seen are awesome. Just check out "eat balls" on Flickr. But this Mibora is totally funked up. In fact nothing like what I've seen from Bwana. Kinda weird.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I think I would had liked it if it was painted a little more cohesively and without the addition of the hair. There's just too much going on for my taste. I also don't care for the Deathra arms. I usually like Bwana's work but this left me feeling like what was going on when he pained it.

You probably haven't seen a lot of his mashups then. They are terrible. Like the one with the mibora head, biskup dragamel neck, ojo body and globby arms. Or his backwards deathra. I like that he tries new things but some of the mashups do not work and look incredibly forced.

that miborah was raped it needs to help the FBI with info on who did this to it... and then the FBI needs to put it in the witness protection program a.s.a.p sorry bwana, i like the majority of your work, but i can't board this train.

Wow, I actually think that Mibora custom is fucking awesome! Bwana did a great job in being very creative with this; I think the colored dreads and mixed parts are all nice touches! To each his own I guess...
