I finally got my autographed Gillian Welch poster back from the framer. It is signed by Gillian and David Rawlings and I got it when I saw them at the Brown Theater.

I've got a lot of watching to do (halfway through Season 1): Best part- it doesn't appear to be a bootleg copy either. $49 dollars well spent.

Rich wrote: PLEASE let us know how Shogun Assassin is. I have the old school DVD and would love to upgrade. It would be killer if they released the series on blu as well. Hey Rich, a few points to consider to be honest. As you know Shogun Assassin is a bit of a patchwork job bringing together two or more episodes of the original Japanese movies; and probably for this reason has never looked perfect (at least in the previous versions I've picked up, from VHS to DVD). This version is probably the same released by Animeigo in the states (judging by the extras) and from what I've read is based on the high-def masters of the original films. It's not a perfectly clean version (I was watching Michael Cimino's The Deer Hunter the other night on Blu Ray and was blown away by the quality!) but it's still pretty sharp... there are some slightly annoying white pixels (or whatever they are?) here and there (not sure if that was my player, still need to double check) that can take away from an otherwise pretty good rendition and the colours bring this masterpiece to life more than the previous releases. Mind you I've watched it on a 'HD Ready' LCD and not a full HD one so I guess it can only get better Hope this gives you a good idea. I'm still hoping for the full Japanese saga box set to be released in blu ray, that would be awesome. Not sure if it has been already released or not, I have it in DVD and it's simply fantastic. Hope this helps. Lemme know if you have any other questions.

Really great set! The Ghost-Horse reminds me of one of Deborah Butterfields sculptures.
