Ah ok, glad I can't tell the difference, I'd be jealous if it was some weird variant with a different vinyl or paint or something. It's just his favorite though, huh?

The mix on the blue and yellow side is awesome, they swirled together to make that crazy neon green

The same reason everything Pushead produces is amazing.

Okay, so I'm not talking smack at all, and not trying to get rocks thrown at my head...
Can someone explain what they love about pushead's toys to me? I've never had one in hand, but looking at the pictures I just don't get it, and would really like to. I'll take whatever lashings I have to for asking, but I'd really like to know!
PMs and letter bombs accepted.

Don't ask me! Every time I see a marbled siamese I think it is just brilliant and amazing, however I have never seen an astro zombie that I wanted to buy and the skullpirates don't exactly blow my mind. Captains are where its at!

I don't care about skulls, but it's the texture that looks the most appealing to me. The detail seems really intricate. Granted I've never touched one either.

Detail is definitely top notch! Even the Hook has tiny bits of detail added onto it, subtle but they're there. Add the marbling on top and you've got a winner

They are rare. HYYYYYYYYYPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZ.

But I do like his toys in general, mostly because I like his art, so it's great to have a piece in three dimensional form. Plus the marbling on these guys is fantastic, which adds to the appeal. But Pus does have a huge art fan base, which most probably bleeds over to his toys. So I'm sure there are a lot of collectors that don't collect sofubi, but Pushead toys only. So I wouldn't say these are hyped up rare, there's just not enough to go around for the people who want them, which makes them look super limited.

Anyway, Pus's toys are great, but not the best, they're just toys. I think much of the appeal you see people have are because they are fans of his artwork, not just the toys. So having these toys designed by Pushead make people go, "Fuck, sick Pus toy!"

Well that's just for me at least. But can't help to think though, and it seems like this as well, is that people collect for the hype factor.... "my collection only has the best RAr3z toys." And it seems Pus has gotten into that category when it comes to the toys.

Exactly this. Anything taken from 2D art to 3D art/toy loses a little bit of it's aesthetic, but with Pus stuff it is a really good translation. Plus owning his toys is a lot cheaper than owning his original art...a lot cheaper, and a lot more accessible.

from my understanding ap´s are a separate run on top of regular ones making it 30 total.
usually gargamel´s own figures or gifts for friends.

Post Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I'd say the FHP and one-off Pus figures are a great 3D representation of his work. The non-FHP stuff and blank stuff doesn't do a whole lot for me though. My one FHP Skull Captain is one of my favorite toys. It's not on my main Sofubi shelves though… The rest of my Sofubi stuff is too bright / happy, and the Captain is so menacing. He's on the shelf with my BC because the two of them would eat everything on my Sofubi shelves if left unattended.

And Brian was right when he said that details are key. I love the fact that the bottom of the Skull Captain's boot is worn through and you can see his toes poking out. Such a little detail, and one that's rarely seen since it's on the bottom, but it's one of the things that makes the Captain great!

^ Where are all these coming from, and how do I get 1? Is there a special blank vinyl club I need to join? Awesome score.
