The Oodako resurgence of 2012 is giving me a warm, squishy feeling Very nice pics! Great contrast against that Alien.

 Re: Mo' Buta
Your photography is getting a lot better tooth. If you ever want any pointers, I'd be happy to codense a semester of photo 101 into a few paragraphs. I love seeing the Buta toys being played with.

Thanks Jeff, although I hear my skills with a camera could use some improvement!

 Re: Mo' Buta
That's great Bill! The light you used and the white background make this photo remind me of a museum.

 Re: Mo' Buta
thanks, guys! these guys begged to be piled up like that. i wish i had a couple dozen more to add to the pink stack.
maybe i should glue them all together and mount the fleshy mass right onto the wall, exposed to the direct sunlight. "art"!
on a side note, anyone know what the kanji translation for the s-taiin / spaceman?

 Re: Mo' Buta
I think I saw it in katakana... Let me see... Ultra999 wrote: thanks, guys! these guys begged to be piled up like that. i wish i had a couple dozen more to add to the pink stack.

on a side note, anyone know what the kanji translation for the s-taiin / spaceman? edit. I have this image from the booklets where you can see it written in Katakana (エスタイイン)... but I also looked at the insert of the gachapons and it seems to be two kanjis but too small to identify from the photo... I'm not good with kanjis anyways!! Muzukashi ne!

 Re: Mo' Buta
thanks for looking up the original japanese. the "s" part is in katakana, but the rest is in hiragana, which translates to "captain." so "captain s", i suppose?

 Re: Mo' Buta
You're right, I posted it in katakana didn't notice the difference in the print! Good call!

 Re: Mo' Buta
the kanji on the gachapon sheet is "隊員", which google translates to "members" or "group members." what?! edit #1: waaaait, it can be "crew members" -- does that mean that this isn't s-taiin? it's a crew member of his spaceship? o-ho! maybe? edit #2: the kanji is taiin, which is not captain, so we're back to square 1

 Re: Mo' Buta
All this talk of micros reminds me... ...that I posted some snaps of last year's batch at the Nude Beach, but hadn't bothered to show them off here
