petitetoilonrouge wrote: Complete GID Sleeping Killers? Once I get that, I can pretty much stop collecting toys... Funny story. I was able to nab this set back at sdcc in 2007. Bwana gave me a sneek peek under the shelf on Friday, and we both marveled at how cool the colors glowed in the dark. But when he winced and told me the sets (7 sets ea. w. small killer paintings) were going to be $550 and available at noon- or about half an hour from that time, I told Bwana good luck with that and headed off to eat some pizza. I mean, who in their right mind was going to pay that kind of coin for a small set of unpainted figures, right? Needless to say, about 2 bites into my pizza, and about 5 minutes after noon, I was charging back across the convention floor. And to this day, I'm so glad I did. Such a cool set!

Still can't understand why he made so few... Sets could have been broken up...

I haven't seen any individual GID killers show up. Methinks everyone has kept their sets intact, no?
I'm always shocked at how disciplined Scott is with keeping his collection trim...I wish I could skim off the fluff.

He has that Deltof (sp?) unit and seems to keep it in there. I'm working on getting a unit I like and plan on keeping it contained. Quality > Quantity. I mean I love seeing huge collections, but not only can I not afford it and don't have the space, I prefer the tight "banzai tree" approach.

 Re: Whole Collection Shots
One thing people could do to try and follow the model Scott has set up is... don't be a completist!

 Re: Whole Collection Shots
Thanks guys. I pretty much love every piece in that case. I used to be a horrible completist-type with bins on top of bins of unopened toys, but now I just like to have a little bit of everything, but only what I can appreciate on display.

(if room ever gets too tight, feel free offer them back! (I was very well compensated to part them them))

If the "Banzai Tree" happens to accommodate only one Anraku piece and a NAG3, I'm willing to give the cast aways a new home in my "Pagoda Palace of Love". I don't really think its an issue of being a "completist", I know there are a few here, but to actually complete a line these days is like winning in a lottery---quite a task. Who are we kidding? Gargamel alone churns out unbelievable out puts, show after show. RXH, Super 7, Zollmen, Secret Base etc. I'm a bit thankful that Cronic has been on a hiatus(?). A lot of great stuff coming out every month or even every couple of weeks. So many stuffs to be had. So many great talents. So very hard to resist. What Scott has done here is an awesome display of restraint. I log on to Skullbrain alone and I end up pining for a few pieces already.
