 Majin-Bander!
That's my favorite!
Majin-Bander is not reach the same level of popularity as other japanese heros.
But, the mood of the figures is nostalgia.....

Glad to see some Bander love!
Question for metyagojira: Do you have any information on any "vintage" Majin Bander figures? Just wondering what may or may not be out there...or anyone else, feel free to chime in!

 Re: Majin-Bander!
Bander is great!!!!
Vintage figure of Bander was released by Otaki at the time. Nowadays it is rare and expensive!
But trere is a reproduction Of Otaki's Bander by "Nostalgic Heros".
It's up for grabs now.
There was other figure of Majin-Bander, it was made up of cheap material(polyethylene).
Reproduction by "Nostalgic Heros".

Hey metyagojira, some rad pics there. Cometdebris hooked me up with this Majin he custom painted. Which version is this one?
The plastic feels so dense and heavy. I love this figure.

 Re: Majin-Bander!
The boy is central figure of the story "Majin Bander"
His name is "Paron-Ohji" (Prince Paron)
Pron-Ohji and Bander came to the Earth from comet Paron.
Majin-Bander is manipulated by prince Paron to defend peace for the world.

Those cards are great. I've seen them on YJA and love the illustration. They remind of old cigarette cards. Are they aprox. 1" X 2.5" in size?

This is clearly the Bander Charactics made vinyls of, but what of the Marmit vinyl, is that a different Bander, as mentioned here: Cralya wrote: The Majin Bander I know is from the live action 1960's Japanese Captain Ultra. Marmit made a couple of the larger ones , plus a parababy. Banpresto made one awhile back.
Thanks!
Help me in my confusion, please...

Are you talking about the two different heads? From my understanding, one head is Bander in his "rest" or peaceful mode while the other, more often portrayed, head is bander in "attack" mode.

I am talking about the different heads, but mainly I'm talking about the mention of the Bander being from an old manga AND the Captain Ultra TV show.
Just trying to find out a little about the origin/inspiration of the toys.
