 Dogu (new IMPROVED!) I love this Jomon fig from Marmit. I'm really tempted to give it worn-stone paint job though.   (Edit!) So I HAD to do it! Here's the results, just an example of how really nice this fig could be!

Re: Dogu (new IMPROVED!) I had to pass on this first release as I wasn't crazy about the colourway.
The worn stone look brings out all of the detail that seems lost in the original.

Re: Dogu (new IMPROVED!) The stone looks way better than the original brown (and your photos of the brown version do it a lot more justice than any others I've seen), but I'm still sticking by my original statement that I'm not taking the plunge until I see one in GID.

I'd have to classify this culturally relevant type of vinyl as my current favorite expression in this medium...I'm kind of getting that 'must have' sentiment looking at that.

But this has a long history in Jpn. This guy even had a prominent role in the Doraemon movie Birth of Japan.
