Anyone know if their is any myth or history behind Anraku's newest creation? Reminds me of the Yokai monsters

Reminds me of the Yokai monsters I know, in an older thread about it, when the Drill arms guys were showed there's a picture of what seems to be an old Japanese painting that the head is based on. It was also on Anrakus site, might have something to do with it?

 Re: Classic Drunk Boy
He is as demonic looking as the SK Doro...nooo he's even more wicked looking! Great figure, I put him third on my list of favorite Anraku sculpts 1st Goga, 2nd Dako, 3rd Drunken boy!

Yes the Second release of the Vader Dako was reworked so it fit better where the halves joined at the hip. At least that was my understanding.

 Re: Classic Drunk Boy
interesting. I hadn't realized that.
the yellow and the second vader release are the same, but these were both released at the same time and I don't have an older to compare it to. what is the difference in the older ones ralph? were they just wobbly at the joint?
i don't know if I could classify which ones I love most. Dako is clear and away the winner for me on favorite, but I need to see the new ones when I have them to even consider them in a list.
As it stands now, I'd probably say Dako, followed by goga and cambodia, but I don't know where I would place them. The little bug guy mini rules too...he's another favorite along with panda.

If one of you guys would send me a Dako, I would consider changing my vote.

 Re: Classic Drunk Boy
I'd say the big Venus is my #1 than after that it's tougher to call, seriously they're all almost equal after that.
I don't want to say before I get a Drunk Boy in hand, but at the moment it'd be, for me, 1- Venus 2- Dako 3- Nue. Something about Nue's head sculpt strikes a chord with me, always has. We'll see what I think when a yellow and red lush hits my door step.
I love Anraku's massive sculpts. Some are more "standard" (Nue, Cambodia) but the HUGE ones like the Venus and Dako and Goga are just so great in hand. Drunkys size seems VERY appealing to me. Originally I thought it'd be 7" or so, I'm so happy it's BIIIIGGGG!
