 YJA mini vinyl came yesterday
First we have the Robocon chef (Iron Chef?): He cooked the fluffy scrambled egg monster: Sorry about the captions. I guess I just lost my head: I liked these because they're like an old socialist newspaper cartoon; The State, The Church, Big Capital and their illegitimate offspring Baby Big Oil: But we will all be saved by Comrade Pig: Last, a couple-three erasers. Someone asked about the one on the left when I posted a peach one, well he's here in green (minor marker marks) and the others don't show up very often either: Final note; will just show vinyls in future, usually. I now have over 10 lbs. of freaking erasers. Other venues might be better for that. Next box from YJA (finally, finally I will get them) should be all vinyls.

Re: YJA mini vinyl came yesterday
I thought that it was Capt. Harlock from the small YJA photo, but when it showed up, wasn't sure. Still dig a swashbuckling nazi anime dude, though.

He got those too? I'm mortified that I posted. That guy has a stellar collection and probably the *definitive* monkey collection! Truly respectable.

Re: YJA mini vinyl came yesterday
Don't stop posting the erasers pictures! those things are so diverse it's a great way to learn more about obscure shows/ characters. Are there any forums that specialise in them?
How well does your Astro- mu chef stand? Mine will stand, but he doesn't want to.

Re: YJA mini vinyl came yesterday
Chef wants to tip back, usually a paper shim under his toes is working for photos, don't know about long term display...chewing gum? Ok, twist my arm, I'll show erasers when I'm done sorting....still looking for an optimal display method for 'em. "littlerubberguys.com" is about pocket figures, but they're mostly into kinnikuman, battle beasts and madballs. And Mr. Humphreys that is sweet Banderu there! Was that part of the YJA score you were talking about on VV? That was a very nice haul!

Re: YJA mini vinyl came yesterday
He's part of a series; hadn't seen it on KT or YJ before, so for once I snapped on them without agonizing for days first. Had 2 vinyl garubans before this last round of sales. This one is def the smallest!

^^I think that strange, bizarre and neat are what drag most of us over here. Like to see everybody's stuff and share back. Now, if I could just get over *wanting* everybody's stuff.

I don't know that yet! I am burning to get my hands on it to find out--I "won" it along with a whole bunch of stuff here, when the original auction winner defaulted... viewtopic.php?f=30&t=13925&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=275I'll post a pic when I get the package and when my camera is repaired . I'm for sure, going to need help identifying all the toys in the lot. Saw another Banderu on JPY (reposted several times), fairly scratched up, but the one in my photo looks to be in good condition!

Re: YJA mini vinyl came yesterday
Thanks. Everytime I go on YJA I see stuff that I've never seen before. Then, BAM, it's gone. Might see it again, might not. I like how crisp some of the erasers look, esp. the zandora. How do they get molds to release with that much detail in a small object?

Re: YJA mini vinyl came yesterday
Cool, did not know that (obviously). I'd always seen the chef grouped with robocon guys, just assumed. And the headless guy threw me for a blank when I got him in hand; Mazinger is good to know.
While we're on it; does anybody have a reference that works in the midwaste for getting/renting/viewing videos of all these early shows? I've usually purchased toys just because I like them, but I've missed a lot of the serials/anime/manga that they originally came from. I can get classic Kurosawa, Miike, etc. but our few asian video stores seem to stock anything but retro Japanese video and movies. I'm pretty sure that there are no Vietnamese Disco karaoke monster story arcs, so these stores aren't really useful. Would love to see all these series and films; most of them never showed east of the Rockies or west of the Catskills.
