Yep what a fantastic list! I just love each one of those figures, and you did a superb job of describing each one, its history as a toy, and importantly, what it means to you. It is clearly about stuff you love and damn the rest. This is exactly what toy collecting is supposed to be about. Excellent job Yuck.

Great list, Yuck !!! That Hedoran is a beauty....I almost thought you showed two glow pics of it, looks like it glows in the light

So funny that Chase listed that particular GID Ecchi in his top 5. That was the first toy that drew me into modern japanese toys as well (that and M1 Matango) and I had to acquire one. I was lucky enough that plover sold me his and I've never looked back.

Great stuff. Though I don't own it anymore, the gargamel hedoran is one of my favorite toys still.

I've been MIA, thanks for the kind words all. It was difficult to pick just 5 figures and feel like I covered a bit of everything I love about modern sofubi. Thanks Glenn for encouraging my participation and being patient.

No worries at all - thanks again for sending it through Yuck!!!
We're on a bit of a sofubi streak here at Top 5 Toys - next list is up by Kirkland Jue/Toybot Studios! I know a lot of people are struggling picking their all-time Top 5 so Kirkland just picked five recent toys that he is pretty excited about and went with it
if any of you guys are struggling to pick your own Top 5 maybe try categorizing it in some way.. Top 5 blank toys or Top 5 Gargamel toys.. if it helps? Hopefully it does because I want more lists!!!

Yikes it's been almost half a year since the blog was updated with new content.. I know a few people are struggling to pick and all-time Top 5 so I figured why not have a few 'Top 5 of 2015' posts to kick off the new year??
Anybody is free to contact me for details, even if you have submitted a list to the blog before - the lists will feature your top 5 scores from 2015 (not necessarily brand new toys released in 2015). Should help making the pick a bit easier seeing as you only have a pool of 12 months to select from.. I know some people have only bought 5 toys this year so it's easy work there

Just posted my first Top 5 on the blog after almost 2 years (?) - my Top 5 Older Releases of 2015. I will do a second list of New Releases for 2015 in a few days. If you'd like to do a Top 5 of 2015 list please hit me up through PM or through Facebook

For me, ZacArt's Big Ugly Jiggler. It's not a Sofubi, but definitely my fav new toy of 2015.
