Very cool figure Mike. I am a big fan of matte paint stylings, so it is a really refreshing change to see an excellent vinyl toy figure finally get this treatment. Add to that that it is executed amazingly, and Paul's already wonderful creation is such a stunner, well I can sure see how that amounts to one superb score. A wait well worthy.
Really excellent Anraku too, lovely colours. Congratulations on landing a fantastic toy!
I can already see this is going to be a killer thread.
That 'Bat is insanely amazing. Kinda reminds me of a photo in those educational "Walk With Dinosaurs" books for kids. Those veiny details in the chest are a wonderful touch.

That bat is unreal! Who painted it? Almost looks like Joe Whiteford's style but not sure with that color palate.
A different Joe… Dunaway!
And thanks, Steve… I gotta say, after a year of laying very low, purchase-wise, opening this box was an incredible treat. I’m in LOVE. The pic above is Joe’s, and while it’s great, it does not do justice at all. I will take more pics when I can, but it will be a little-to-long while. I had Joe finish it only in matte, with the intention of masking off and glossing certain details once I got him back. Joe did gloss the tongues, but I will be handling the brain, eyes, mouth/teeth, all claws, the belly-opening and all blossoms. It will be a little while before I can complete it all to my satisfaction… I’m guessing by the end of February.

Re: 2015 Score Of The Year
I've only bought 6 toys all year (and two of those were Bandi Legend of Bullmark toys!) Doesn't look like toys 7 and 8- Anraku mini set will make it before the end of the year so I have to go with this beauty:
My score(s) of 2015 are at a stalemate, as it was impossible to choose between the two. Both were obtained from DCon at the same booth, and I couldn't be happier or feel more fortunate to have these amongst my surroundings. I'd also like to note that Secretoy's(Joe/Splurrt) Cinema Monster takes 'Toy of 2015' for me. This particular version was painted by Paul Kaiju.
Assuming it is toy acquired, it would be this MVH Black Magic Witch Hunter. He was my #1 ISO as soon as I got into this hobby. From what people have told me, I figured this guy would be impossible to score. Glad I was wrong.
If it is toy released this year only, it would be the Lolgolth Gnazgoroth. He was a major reason why I started into this hobby in the first place. His design is insane, and with the right paint job it can be even crazier.

One of those Zazahns that makes me wanna collect Zazahn... beautiful, Chris!
Had a great year. With less coming in, they all counted big time. These were my favorite "no f**king way!" scores of 2015. Not just because they happened, but because I got them for waaay less than I thought I'd have to pay thanks to a couple kick-ass boardies. Thanks, guys.

It's hard not to love what looks like a living christmas tree from a Tolkein novel. Even if he is supposed to be a giant mass of seaweed. It's hard to stop at just one!

Every time I see one of those Giant Kanegons I'm reminded how much I want one. I'm partial to the original GID (with more GID vinyl exposed) blue or gold versions or the latest green/black version but no matter they all look so cool. Giant toys rule! I think one would good next to the Giant M1 T-28. Great scores and yes boardies who help other boardies out in need and not for massive profit is what it's all about here! I know I've been helped in the past and it's nice to return the favor

Can't come up with any words to describe this beautifully detailed Mockbat, grats on this Mike, i envy you in the best possible way
On my behalf, i would have to say that i have a couple of scores of the year, one of them being the Leviathan by Mr Rich Montanari Jr and the other one being Red Rub Boss Carrion by Mr Paul Kaiju

only with the help of an excellent boardie (thank you again!), this would definitely be my 2015 score(s) of the year
Jason, that is an excellent snap and such a cool toy! The Punk Drunkers stuff is so well executed. The paint on this blue guy is perfect, colors and app.

All credit is due to The One Mr. Paul Kaiju for his amazing and transcendent creation, and the Honorable Mr. Joe Dunaway for his consistently wonderful paintwork. All I did was suggest a general color palette and concept to Joe, and he did his thing, marvelously.
Well, actually, that wasn't all I did. I also structurally modified the toy and installed 19 neodymium magnets of various sizes and strengths throughout Mockbat, Hellmock, and all accesories (including the three alternate tongues I cast in clear resin before sending to Joe for paint). The tongues, belly blossoms and Hellmock's head are all instantly, magnetically switchable (and they all spin like buttah... single-finger Mock-tongue twirling ftw). Mockbat's got magnets in his feet (strong ones, for hanging upside down and single-foot standing poses on metal surfaces), palms of his hands (the alternate tongues stick nicely there like tentacles coming out of stigmata), and crotch (stick a tongue there as a Mockwang? Sure, why not, thought I...). Hellmock also has 'em in the palms of his hands (he too can do the tongue-hands thing... really looks like spellcasting, when he does it), as well as a superstrong one in his base- you can put Hellmock on the bottom or top side of a non-metal shelf and stick Mockbat's feet to the other side, and they lock to each other.
Yeah... I went labor-of-love nuts on this one... then had to have about 16 months of patience.... and it's paying off big. This toy has been a serious distraction from work and life for the past week! Again, one of the most thrilling and satisfying toy experiences I've had in a long time. I can't wait 'til I can get him actually finished-finished and can share more pics... maybe even a vid that shows off all the magnetic playability action.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people here would agree with you on your choice. It's exciting as hell. Word is still out on whether I'll have mine by year's end, but that might be my choice too.
