I was saying JP vinyl dosent seem to soak up v-color like a western(chinese) vinyl would soak up paint, therefore virtually eliminating the need for a base coat.

Seriously there are so many little secrets you can write a book. You can also thin some silver down so its real thin and spray it over any completed toy to give it that pearl shine look.

Thanks for all the tips guys (& gals?). As far as ventilation goes, I'll be painting in my garage with a big box fan pulling all the paint away from me. I do need a respirator though. I was thinking this one:

Any thoughts?

Well I tried on the respirator today and I think I'm going to get it, but I'd like to hear recommendations first. Any thoughts? Also, do I need eye protection when using V-color? All of this help is much appreciated!

i just wear my glasses - not sure if i should be using eye protection

as for the respirator, as long as it fits i think you'll be fine. mine isnt as nice as that one, and i notice a difference when i use it vs.not using it
