Welcome to the board Arkiv,
As of now, it's too KRish. And I really don't want that scene taking over the OG kaiju scene that has been built here for over the past years.

Good Luck

i second that. haha.

I agree that there was too much derivative of KAWS in the figure, but then, the "KAWS stance" was ripped off from the Michelin man, not to mention other elements lifted from well known commercial icons, so at what point does the successive derivation remain cool or cease to be cool?

I like a lot of western based artist's but not do expect to see them on this forum... everybody here knows where to go for that type of thing but I do feel as though like I have said before that other interest's such as music, movies, women, cars, whatever your into and so forth are all somewhat influencial of the toys that collectors buy and should not be deliberately ragged on when these "other" topics are brought to board for discussion...

As for this Arkiv toy I would obviously rather see it being promoted elsewhere because I frequent this board for a different type of toy vibe...

anyway...

I'd be surprised if the toy ever gets actually made. xono asks at what point does repetition of old themes get old---I'd say when the work is so obviously uninspired as it was here.

its funny to start spamming toy forums when you're product doesn't even exist as a mold.

They need ringside managers if they are going to throwdown. I think manimal and kozik would go at it with HMS, and it would be like OH SHIT! Kozik has got a smorkin labbit chair, and then he would whack scott over the head.

So HMS who would be in your corner? And somebody please make a galtan suit to wear, a skull head and some pinchy claws? that would be one intimidating costume.

As for kaws he is a lot bigger in japan and has his store there or whatever. I feel like now his japanese pop cultureness rivals if not exceeds his here in the states. Even his books and shows happen there first. I still dislike any thing besides his bus stop and poster campaign.

manimal jumps in the ring as himself with a light spray of yellow down his spine and declares, 'i am custom manimal'. and hopefully he'll be wearing one of his 'grab bags' over his potato head.
