Re: My first real Kaiju custom | Pictures
Nice to see an 'odd' custom take on the Chaos. The different shades of blue give the figure a truely 'oceanic' feel and make the textured bodyparts of the sculpt pop out. Was this painted up with acrylics ?

Re: My first real Kaiju custom | Pictures
I can't speak for others but for me it's just way to much on one toy. I'm not against hand painted customs but this comes off to me as a paint by numbers project and then with the additions of the dots and circles makes it even more heavy handed. There is nothing left for me of the original RxH figure that I can identify with.

Re: My first real Kaiju custom | Pictures
after seeing the whole thing I'm kinda on the fence about it... certain aspects of it make this chaos look really amazing but I think maybe you went a tad to far with the eyeball...

Tan-Ki, It's great! Very unique. You have a keen eye for color and shapes. The pics are great, though I imagine in hand this is really something.

Re: My first real Kaiju custom | Pictures
I don't really like the chaos sculpt so that might have something to do with my overall feelings, but I think the hand looks really cool. The figure overall might be too much to one sculpt, but I would still say I like it. Nice!

Re: My first real Kaiju custom | Pictures
Whoo! Again Tan-ki, I think this is really a great looking piece, its an interesting non-traditional take on a kaiju toy which as said earlier might not work on all kaiju, but on the Mutant Chaos I think it works very well indeed. I'd be interested to see what else you work on in terms of Kaiju and fight-figures! And thanks again for being open to trade- I love trading artwork for artwork! I can't wait to see it in person!

Re: My first real Kaiju custom | Pictures
best custom I've seen in a while! I agree, reminds me of Kusama Yayoi and 1960s patterns. The colors bring to mind traditional Japanese textiles. This is a great piece & very unexpected. Nice work!

loved ur fotos as they capture soul of figs very well, but missing any relation between paint style and mutant chaos. thick paint looks like chaos is drowning.

I am sorry to answer so late but I was very busy these last days. Thank you very much for your comments! plastichunter wrote: I can't speak for others but for me it's just way to much on one toy. There is nothing left for me of the original RxH figure that I can identify with. I understand your point of view. For this first custom of Kaiju I used a simple technique, I discover the possibilities of the custom on Kaiju, but it is true that my technique is often an accumulation of motives, forms but always in a unique color range, here is the blue. I like the idea of the paint by numbers... sumatra71 wrote: certain aspects of it make this chaos look really amazing but I think maybe you went a tad to far with the eyeball... accumulation.... accumulation... sometimes it's really difficult for me to finish THANK YOU EVERY BODY!!!
