The drips themselves are part of the original sculpt. I sculpted the rim of the cauldron, made the brackets, and made the handle. The over-boil on the rim is painted to flow into the original sculpted drips.

So, in answer to your question, both. :D

th drips can be seen in the regular sculpt, after i studied images of the figure more:

the way the green is painted contrasting with the black makes it stand out a whole lot more.
now that i see who little detail there actually is in the sculpted drips, it makes me like this custom even more for making it stand out so much!
