Re: Nanite's Customs (Elegab, Grody, Bandai update 10-8)
One of the most interesting and special customs I've seen in a while. Just gorgeous! I'm in lust!

I wouldn't even feel right touching it. If I owned him (or them), I'd have to give it the red rope treatment, set up lazers, or some kind of protection. Maybe hire a prison guard, "NO TOUCHING!" He's all around Beautiful. There's no way I could do it right now anyway, but I would LOVE for you to give the "Nanite treatment" to some of my pieces one day!

Re: Nanite's Customs (Elegab, Grody, Bandai update 10-8)
You guys are giving me a swelled head. It's funny how the monster half of the Daburunga just flowed. I'm still surprised how well it came together. Then the robot half took lots of planning and masking, and there's still overspray all over it that doesn't really show up in pictures. Here are my contributions to the 5th Anniversary Eyezon show next month:

i love lights in transparent toys... especially when they look that well done! (i'd also gush about that elegab, but you've probably heard enough already. =p)

Re: Nanite's Customs (Negora and Grody)
Because I am often terrible at even cut and paste code, and incredible paranoid, I'm selling the Starlight Mint Grody for $25, just to try and get someone to bite: http://orbitdyne.blogspot.com/2013/01/c ... or-25.htmlAlso my workshop is hovering at freezing, so it's going to be a few weeks (hopefully not months) before I'm back in the saddle.

Re: Nanite's Customs
Thanks! I'm happy with it. Less happy with today's journal entry: http://orbitdyne.blogspot.com/2013/01/p ... ni_25.htmlBut that's mostly because of the back, and because it didn't turn out the way I pictured in my head. But it's still GITD vinyl, which is my favorite medium ever, so I can't complain much. I should actually get some painting done this weekend! Temperature is up above freezing!

Re: Nanite's Customs
Find some of those rub effects really interesting. Would really like to see better shots of the one that appeared to have a glittering base coat. Your fearless "hit or miss" approach on some of these reminded me that if we're not wiling to risk disaster we're not going to grow in our work. Good stuff!

Is this the one you would like to see in more detail: I just finished up the eyes, and seal coat on it, should have more pictures and a writeup soon!

Re: Nanite's Customs
Been having a rough time lately, but managed to get a couple Monster Boogie figures painted: Commission Mecha Nekoron: Happy Fun Poodra: Do not taunt Happy Fun Poodra. Another Sid and Marty Krofft/McDonaldland inspired job. Sloppy spray, but I'm happy with it, goes with the attempted vintage 70's look. I'd be much obliged if you purchased him: http://orbitdyne.blogspot.com/p/shop.html

That poodra is awesome. The sprays might be sloppy, but it works perfectly.
