I've been enjoying all the great work posted in this thread and I've been inspired to finally scan some of my sketches so I can post, too.
Here are a couple of monsters I did with ball point pen at work. Shhh, don't tell my boss.
Here's one in pencil that I did last month:

Cool I like those. Like mutated fowl of some sort
Does the 425 have any significance?

not really. sometimes my drawings take shape as an oil painting, but i dont ever color the drawings themselves.
i thought about trying to paint this one actually. the bemon and bawer both could get some crazy texture with oil paints... but it would cost a fortune! haha

Oh yeah, it would look awesome with a good water coloring! But thats just me. Oils would work great too but as you said, it would be a bit pricey. I love this drawing!

The # doesn't have any specific signifcance at this point. I have a whole gang of sketches of similar type 'monsters'. I call them demons and I haven't quite worked out the details of the world that they inhabit. Right now, they come in three versions. The simple, less 'realistic' type in the first two pen sketches, a very simple, almost cartoony type that I didn't post and the more 'realistic', rendered version like the pencil sketch. Anywho, I used to draw monsters all the time when I was a kid. Ones that were more akin to kaiju as I was inspired by Godzilla movies, Ultraman, Giant Robot, Spectreman, etc. and my fondness for dinosaurs. Since I recently rediscovered my love of kaiju and there ilk, I've been trying to draw/create creatures more in that style. I keep telling myself "Make it look like a man in a foam rubber suit." LOL
If I manage to actually create something beyond a rough sketch, I'll post it.

This looks great! I actually think these two characters look better here than as toys. I saw a painting of Bemon done by another talented artist on this board (whose name excapes me) which also gave me a new appreciation of the character. I know I am in the minority here, but the toy version does nothing for me and for the longest time I couldn't figure out why folks here were so ga ga over it. I still don't get it and, believe me, I've been trying to. Maybe I just need to hold one in my hands, or something. For now, consider me one less collector to compete with. I do enjoy seeing a skilled artist's rendering of these guys in action, though. And you must be doing something right if you've made me appreciate a character I previously disdained. More!

Thanks for the kind words, Wimu, Tavaro, Lowenbrow.
Lokash, I like the Atomic Shrimp fella. I imagine the mushroom cloud expanding upward and folding back on itself so that it is in a constant state of erupting.

HA!
I wondered when you were going to post to this thread!
I got a Matango from S7 one time and Hiro had drawn a picture of the toy. It was just sitting beside the register so I YOINKED it.
