Post Qs about Rangeas Eyes
I've got a Rangeas here to customize, and I'm wondering how I should go about taking the eyes out. Anyone have any tips? They look like they are glued in... Will heating up the vinyl soften it up enough to pop them out? I don't want to rip the vinyl, and when I put them back in I'm assuming I'll have to glue them... whats the best glue for vinyl? I know superglue sometimes dries white, and I don't want that.

Any ideas?

thanks,

Phil

essentially, you need to rip them out. they are glued in pretty good. when finished, just glue them back in with any kind of modeler's glue. at least that's the way I did it.

When the eyes are removed, I would mask the eye area and don't paint it. When you glue the eyes back in you will be gluing the the eyes to the vinyl not the paint which will make a better hold. Sometimes paint can effect the glue and then you have a mess also.

Model cement or model glue should be fine like TB said
