Post Vinyl Voodoo Retorospective for Leecifer
Retrospective goodies (sorry no kaiju). There's 30 some odd pieces and I'll be there to doodle (bring your black books) and babble art speak this wkend. Oh and if you're a boardie I'll hook you up w/ a free print or shirt or something just come say "hi" and tell me who you are! I'm cleaning out the flat file so I'll have all kinds of weird stuff w/ me besides the art and customs.

Artist Reception Sunday, April 20th 1- 4 PM
That's right, this is during the day on a Sunday so you can bring the whole family and it's at a COMIC SHOP!!!!! Wahoooooo I love comic shops! I don't have a lot of real estate here cause this place is packed w/ cool stuff!!!! So even if you think I suck you can totally scam a freebee and then buy comics (please note, my peeps can join me across the street for beeriness at some point)

I'll play the devil's advocate here...

I'll preface this by saying that I think all of the customs and artwork posted above are very nice...I love the general color palette and overall feel to the pieces---the paint does take them to new (and better) levels...

Leecifer, my apologies for bringing this to your thread, but anyone else that posted work on these particular figures would be (virtually) tarred, feathered, and given the Gulag treatment from the Thunderdome...

That said, best of luck with the show!

Scott

Thanks peeps!

Scott - Hahahaha, sooooo very true. but that's why I put a "non-kaiju" disclaimer at the beginning and posted it here where there has been a variety of things posted, but it's certainly not going to be everyones cup of tea.

I love what this board represents and take a lot of heat 'cause I post S7 goodness up in other places. I'm not trying to subvert Skull Brain w/ "crappy western vinyl". A few folks here have indicated that it seems unfair I share more of my work in other locals, but as you have obviously stated it'll not be for everyone. Granted I'll paint pretty much anything people put in my hands, but have become a huge fan of Brian Flynn's amazing toys and work in general (although I've yet to hear if he can stand my embellishment, hahaha) but I'll not stop championing S7 nor Mr. Flynn's stunning work and sometimes polluting here as well.

Thanks for your honesty and well wishes w/ the show! Be advised you may wish to close your eyes and only take a quick peek at what I post before getting a seriously damaging eye-full from time to time.

Thanks again!

Cheetos,

- Lcfr

lol...I've painted a few "western" pieces (KR type) myself, so I don't have any real problem with it at all...unfortunately, I don't have the cojónes to post any pictures of such items on here due to my persistent fear of rejection ...self-loathing is enough for me, don't need to encourage it from my fellow board members!

Glad you took my note in the nature in which it was intended!

Best,
Scott
