random works of art on canvas, paper, sheet metal, etc...
i know there are some artists on the board, y'all should post up some pics of your paintings. i'd love to see all the talent! this paint i titled "dude, that tree is going to eat you" was kaiju inspired, but now i can't see that in it much....

Re: random works of art on canvas, paper, sheet metal, etc...
that is sweet! nice work. i've always had somewhere in the back of my mind the concept of trying a painting on the glass of a display box (drop box?), and then filling the interior space with lights.

Josh and Joe---very cool pieces! Maybe an exhibit (paintings/sculpture/etc.) should be organized to showcase some of the artist around here, eh?

Re: random works of art on canvas, paper, sheet metal, etc...
right now I don't get to paint very much...most of the stuff I do is music related, posters, t-shirts etc. This is a Big Daddy Roth inspired rough for a t-shirt. The band is Thee Cormans, a really noisy surf band who rule...

magillagorilla wrote: Flintstones inspired dino-zag hybrid Cel vinyl on wood panel 4x6 that's pretty damn genius! nice work. the texture is awesome, looks like an actual animation cel from the flintstones cartoons. it makes me wonder how many well-known characters would look absolutely awesome if they were Zagorized...

Reworking an old design, took out Ultra Seven and added Ultraman Leo....I want to do this as a 12x12 easily framed, silk screened 2 color art print, but I'm getting a lot of requests for t-shirts!

Re: random works of art on canvas, paper, sheet metal, etc...
Ok, this is a piece I worked on the other night. Please note I am no artist and if you think it sucks qwell, thats me doing my best lol. This is my take on a damnedron skewering a KR money piece of crap to use as the head piece for his voodoo staff. This is done on a 2 inch by 3 inch paper business card and is acrylic, marker, ink, pencil, blood (true). I posted it the other day but got embarrased and removed it. My sig is "The Matt" or "tM"
