that pirate is fucking sweet! i love it, and i don't even like the pirates! good job, such an interesting piece. i can't tell if the red/brown reminds me of rust or of dried blood, and the blue just adds to the chaos...

Post Re: a bat and a pirate
the pirate is actually modelled after one of the handpainted skullwings. i believe kirkland has it. that's what the owner wanted, and i like the way it turned out.

the steven turned out better than i had hoped. i wasn't sure how easy it would be to make the wraps work around the wings since his torso is one solid piece, but it turned out nice.

thanks

did you flock the pirate?

I don't actually dislike the bat, he is very cool, I am probably just jaded with all you very very cool mummys. Which are cool, but there are lots of them... I not gonna dig myself out of this hole, am i? :D

i did flock the pirate. it was interesting.

you're not in a hole backtrack. i know i've made plenty of mummies, but they're fun to make. though i did slice my hand open making this one, which wasn't very fun. so i'm sure there will be a few more in the future.

i'll have a few rxh pieces done soon. that'll mix it up a bit

i like the Pirate..... but it should prolly be united with the wing. tell the owner that he's making a side trip over here for group photos and then i'll send him back......one day.....lol.

The Steven is sweet. I know you've done several mummies in the past, but this is probably the best one IMO.

Wasn't diggin' the Pirate, until after Kirkland posted his skull wing where the inspiration came from. It's starting to grow on me, and can't wait to see what else you do to it. Nice job as always motor.
